QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Apr 27 2020, 07:46 PM) better u get a 1tb sx8200 I would avoid Evolv Shift since the temps & airflow are not good. AIO is a MUST in that casecasing dont cheapen out.. thats my advice..get something alu .. jonsbo.. phantek evolv shift etc.. also, the so-called "aluminium" is only front and rear panel (quite a hefty one also) but the main structure is made of steel. add a pair of thick tempered glass panels and you'll get a very heavy case I would rather recommend something like Raijintek Ophion Mini (or the Ophion Evo, if you want 240mm AIO cooler support) |

QUOTE(Zgames @ Apr 27 2020, 09:17 PM) Yo wassap guys, trying to find a better case and cooling. Right now am using Node 202 with an 2600 with the stock cooler, now my gpu is nice and cool but it's abit loud with the cooler master pwm fans I'm using as an intake. RVZ03 is too bulky in my opinion to be considered as "slim" case. I would prefer ML08 or RVZ02 but these are very old case (much older than the said RVZ03) and availability is a big issue tooI'm trying to buy a new case and cooler and new fans as well I guess for a quieter and abit cooler processor temps. Current idle temps for proc is 48-50c, GPU idle is 38-40c Was eyeing RVZ03 but somehow nobody carries them anymore. are you still looking for slim, "console" type case? |

QUOTE(Zgames @ Apr 28 2020, 04:21 AM) if you're planning to carry this around, you might want to avoid tempered glass panels at all cost but if you still want to show of the internals, better opt for those with acrylic panels insteadmaybe can have a look in Taobao for Metalfish S3 Plus (or the S3, if you want to push the size further down at a cost of flex PSU) |

QUOTE(Zgames @ Apr 28 2020, 01:50 PM) Oh I don't care about showing off internals, I was looking at the Greek A50 is that any good? Or should I just get a ML08 from a friend of mine since he's not using it anymore. The reason why I was looking into the RVZ03 is because it can fit 83 mm or below cpu cooler. if you're okay with the all-acrylic exterior than you should be fine with the Geeek A50 casewhoa ML08 is a rare gem nowadays. that's one of the case I looked up back then before deciding to go for Node202, mainly due to availability (both RVZ02 and ML08 are no stock everywhere) |

QUOTE(gxthelord @ Jun 1 2020, 06:49 PM) wow very nice idea using the mobo 24pin as a cover too never seen it used like that Nice! hahaha that idea came out of nowhere, as I was putting everything togetherWhat GPU you're using in this build and hows the temps? I'm currently having Galax RTX 2060 in my build. as for temps I'd say typical air cooled range, hovering around 70 for average games and can go up to 80 if demanding ones like CoD Warzone and Division 2 |

QUOTE(saishu @ Jun 19 2020, 10:36 AM) depends on what direction you're heading to. for ultra compact ones can fit in RTX 2070 mini single fan from Gigabyteothers can house the typical dual-fan design and triple fan ones. so better spec out your system first, identify how your build gonna be then only choose the case |

QUOTE(gxthelord @ Jun 29 2020, 10:59 AM) with the 240mm AIO, I got the 9600k to be around 60 degrees under gaming load/few runs consecutive runs of Cinebench R20, and 1-hour run of Prime95 only pushes it up to about 70 degreescompared with the old Cryorig C7 Cu that I used previously, gaming/cinebench is around 85 degrees, prime 95 shoots up to 90+ in less than 10mins, and after 15mins a few cores reached 100 degrees lol |

QUOTE(pkchair @ Jul 1 2020, 04:58 PM) Hello! New recruit to the SFF MY scene (enlisted during the MCO). I have used this case before and the thermals are very good (or at least, in my setup), but maybe that time I was using a locked Core i5-6500 CPU» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « - Ryzen 5 3600 - Gigabyte Aorus B450i Gaming Wifi - Crucial 1TB NVMe PCIe M.2 - Samsung 860 EVO 250GB SATA - GALAX GeForce GTX 1660 Super EX White 6GB GDDR6 - 2 x G.SKILL Aegis 8GB DDR4 3200MHz CL16 - FSP DAGGER PRO 650W 80+ Gold SFX Full Modular PSU - 2 x NOCTUA NF-F12 - NOCTUA NF-A12x15 - Castle 240EX AIO For those familiar with this case, thermals will always be a challenge with glass side panels. CPU idle temps are around 45C and around 80 at full load. GPU sits at 40C when idle, and tops out at around 80C as well at 100% load. Plan will be to do some undervolting this week to see if temps can be brought down further. [Edited for brevity and forum etiquette]. My setup back then was: Core i5-6500 Z270i ROG Strix Zotac GTX1070 Mini 2x8GB HyperX Fury RGB 3200MHz Silverstone SX650-G SFX PSU Cooler Master ML240L AIO Cooler Master MF120R fan at the bottom temps was around 34-35 degrees idle, and gaming load (Shadow of Tomb Raider pushes CPU usage to 100%) maxed out at only 50 degrees my room has no air conditioning. just a regular ceiling fan |

QUOTE(pkchair @ Jul 2 2020, 01:00 PM) The challenge of working with 7nm architecture! I can reach 35 idle temps by switching off Core Performance Boost (or "turbo") in BIOS, but I think i can survive with sub 40C for now. Forgot to add that the 80C temp is when I stress test the CPU with Prime95 and load all cores at 100%. With games, it's around 60C maybe? both of the Ophion variants (Mini/Evo) are quite rarely seen locally Just fan no aircon either. Are there many Ophion Evo case users in MY? Don't think it's particularly popular here. I am already itching to switch to another case haha. |

QUOTE(pkchair @ Jul 3 2020, 12:12 AM) I see. After spending weeks going through Shopee and Lazada, this was the only case that really caught my eye. Only when I went deeper into the hole, then I realized there are so many more cases out there. wait until you browse through Taobao Now I can't stop planning for my next build. |

QUOTE(pkchair @ Jul 3 2020, 10:57 AM) Aw man, I am, and I am addicted! Worse than pron! I can assure you that you're not the only one I am lusting at the ghost s1 clones like kevcase, formula x1 and wdean, others like aklla, sunmilo, seadamaged, the thor clone etc. Surely i am not the only one right? that is why I'm prohibiting myself now from browsing through Taobao again. I am planning to use current case a little bit longer than the ones I used previously |

QUOTE(pkchair @ Jul 3 2020, 03:27 PM) Hah! I might have to uninstall the Taobao app from my phone, I have only used my current setup since May and already I want to change (1) the case (2) the gpu and (3) my monitor!. well my recent purchase was through a friend who happen to have some items from Taobao in a forwarding service storage, so basically I just add in my case into his inventory lol. I never had ordered anything directly from Taobao I might spring for the FormD T1 though, it's just too good. Have you bought cases on Taobao direct? How was your experience? although shipping is by sea, it took only 2 weeks to arrive to KL haha yeah, FormD T1 looks great, and to make it worse my fav channel Optimum Tech from Youtube happen to have his personal gaming/editing rig in the T1. almost everytime rewatched his video on the review/build my second all-time fav would be the Ghost S1 |

I never used any of GEEEK case before, but given the construction I won't suggest for it to be carried around.any1 have experience with those china taiwan GEEEK cases? looks dandy, but not many youtuber review. the case frame is aluminium, but the whole panel is made if acrylic |

QUOTE(excel_saga @ Dec 14 2020, 05:27 AM) bothit has all the stuff included with NR200, but with addition of the said tempered glass panel & short PCIe riser for vertically mounting your GPU also, the other difference is NR200 comes with 1x 120mm CM Sickle Flow fan and 1x 92mm fan while NR200P comes with 2x 120mm CM Sickle Flow fans instead |

QUOTE(KenDiriwan @ Dec 30 2020, 10:14 AM) Will be building my first itx rig soon "fan blowing straight at the front of the rig" wont help much, since Jonsbo A4 basically have no front & side ventilationAiming at Jonsbo A4 and would prefer a air-cooled rig Would that be a concern for temperature when comes to gaming ? It will be placed at non ac area, i would have a table fan blowing straight at the front of the rig. since you're going with aircooled route, might as well fill up the bottom & top vents with 4x 120mm fans |
