Hello guys, am still new to SFF but gotta switch over from the Thermaltake core g21 to the Lian Li TU-100 since I will be heading back to Malaysia for a while, wanted to ask if anyone have experience in drilling holes in their casing especially non-plastic ones? [Found them on pinned topic]
I'm interested in modding my case for better temp control. I've moved usable parts from my previous desktop into the new case. Temperature is not that good since there's only 1 fan in the case I'm running Ryzen 7 1700 oced to 3.7 Cryorig c7 Crucial ballistic 8x2 ddr4-2666 MSI b450i mobo Zotac gtx 1080 mini offset 100 core clock and 150 memory clock 600w kurotoushikou 600w sfx PSU (some japanese brand) Cable management for now look like this until I get my hands on shorter psu cables. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I was actually planning to go AIO but was afraid that I couldn't hand carry them on flight so ended up with normal air cooling. My temperature for now is hitting around CPU 85c +- Gpu 85c +- While running rainbow 6 at decent settings on 1440p This post has been edited by franstormer: Jan 1 2019, 11:00 AM |

I've just modified my case using an angle grinders. I asked my friend advice (since he's working as contractor) for modifying small things like pc case, he advice me to use dremel @ rotary tool as it is safer, easier to handle and more accurate than large scale drill. |

I am planning to bring the case to some mechanic to drill since they have all sorts of driller and even tiny ones, now I just need to figure out how to drill the side panel's side for the fan cables. My only concern now is the dust from the drilling since the side panel is made of aluminium, will see how it goes when I get my fans and the measurement. |

QUOTE(aminar @ Jan 15 2019, 05:33 PM) Guys, any idea how to cool down the temp on the gpu? Got only one fan mount at the bottom, Currently using 120mm slim fan, and underclock and undervolt the gpu. If use 140mm fan, will it affect the temp? got more pic? cant see clearer your build. maybe elaborate what component you're using.btw from what i saw, tried to use sfx psu. maybe will give the case some airflow. |

Yeah, was worried about them refusing earlier but my dad gave his mechanic friend a call and he said to bring over the case and we'll discuss about the drilling and cutting. Good to have some connection I guess hmm I'll try to clean it as good as possible since I dont wanna risk having those steel dust getting into the computer component. |

QUOTE(ruffstuff @ Mar 8 2015, 11:43 AM) My ncase M1 v2. The true definition of compact case. Wow, nice cooling system..These are actually old pictures. I've change few components. I've change to much taller 80mm reservoir. This 50mm one makes the pump noisy. Bitspower fitting extension. Make it neat and minimize kinks. |

Not the prettiest result but managed to slot in 2 more fans to the LianLi tu-100, 1 on the side panel and 1 under the GPU, the Noctua slim fit just nice with around 1mm gap between the fan and the GPU.
