Not sure if anyone of you heard of voopee or have any experience using it.

From what I understand when we download voopee and register we will get a 2nd malaysia mobile number.

In nutshell they claim you can call home when abroad or receive call without paying roaming charges at only 0.10 or free calls.

Anyone here tried it before?

just an update, used it in singapore and was awesome called home only 10 cents hehehe

Works offline for free?

Is this different from using Skype, Viber or Wechat for free calls over wifi?

different because i have a malaysian mobile number
my office called me from their landline and they just pay normal local rates
and best of all i dont pay roaming hahahah

example, if im in hongkong, do i need to have wifi access before i could call to malaysia using voopee?

or just use wifi lo

for me its ok la i just bought a data card and case solved
im quite happy

but most importantly is i saved a lot of money la

its like a prepaid , we call to any malaysian number we only pay 0.10 cents

also i just top up using my credit card, but i only top up rm10 la

or u can top up in 7eleven or petrol station with xox recharge, thats what i understand

dun understand, if i use wifi only & dun buy any prepaid card, how they wanna charge 10sen to me ?

voopee application has a number given to you upon registration

if u call voopee to voopee it is free

if u use voopee to call any malaysian number its only 0.10

treat voopee like a prepaid account without sim card

when u register they give me rm2 , so i guess u will have RM2 in there to try ya

i just checked their rates on website, it's 10 sen PER MINUTE, not only 10sen per call - that's a lot of difference

yup..10 sen per min is still very cheap compared to normal line. normally u jus wanna talk for a while only so 1 min is normally enough.

ask your partnet to download voopee as well...
so when u oversea, use voopee to call malaysia partner's voopee..

for me personaly no issue

I use Roamer app. Just before going overseas I set my phone to forward all calls to a local Roamer number

When reach oversea I insert local SIM card. When there's a call coming in, Roamer will call my local SIM.

Calling using Roamer also cheap

Whatsapp allows you video calls or voice calls over internet. So this voopee is only useful for calling or receiving calls from landlines. But in this day and age who doesn't have mobile phones?

Voopee discontinued on 2024 and do any of you get back the Voopee number?
