Congratulations on the new home! 👍

Hi.This is my first MOC.
I like the new Imperial Troop Transport but I wanted a bigger one to accommodate more Stormtroopers.
So, using just bricks from 5 boxes of 75078(with the exception of two red tabs on top of the front
turrets taken from 75079), I proceeded to make my own version.

Features include

- space for 20 Stormies
- detachable cockpit to access pilots
- gunner's cannon and both front turrets are on 360 rotation
- roof flaps open to reveal craft's interior

Very nice set! 👍

Thanks for the wishes guys!!! So the timer has started (ngam ngam 37 weeks last Sat). anytime now!

Currently the living room is kinda berterabur with some parts under the sofa and some of my display from Kidzexpo last year still unpacked and put in one corner.

Felt kinda weird not buying anything from 2015.. so I finally succumbed and poison myself with one single set last Fri after work. thats the set I set my eyes on after seeing the leaked pics last year. RRP at 79.90 but worth every sen:

http://brickset.com/sets/31034-1/Future-Flyer

Again I quickly build the car mode the same night... then the jet mode the next afternoon and kautim the robot mode few hours later.

My score:

car mode:7/10  -  decent looking enough. Ball joints are used to pad up the build
jet mode:6 /10 - would've expecting a sleeker design
robot mode:  8/10    - very articulated especially on the arm and hands. Knee joints yay!! Looks like a boy-robot though, must be the gorrila arms + short legs + big head proportion.

pros:
- lots of hinges and balljoints big and small
- best Creator Mech so far from LEGO

cons:
- too many 1x1 round plates to "pad" up the design (no wonder the piece count so generous ... mostly tiny parts)
- not much standard bricks like 1x2 or 1x4 .
Well the reason why I'm rushing to complete the 3 alternates is coz I wanna MOC my own transforming mech from it . So I did.... spending few hours from yesterday to complete it. hehehe...

pics coming soon!
*
Thanks for the review! The ball joints reminds me a lot of hero factory 😅 looking forward to see your transforming mech 😊

Finally completed my New Year Day project... Constructions was delayed as my kids kept wanting to play "Masterchef Lego" after the kitchen was built 😅

I love the details of the set especially the kitchen in the ground floor. smile.gif it looks really good by itself and it looks great when placed beside the other modulars 😊

I'd highly recommend this set of anyone is looking for modulars 😊

Last time I was in JB (last year) lego shop has most of the "creator" series there. Normally, whenever I am in JB, I will go to Legoland and Impulse. Dunno how their stock are these days though... hmm.gif

**NEWS** BUILD YOUR OWN LEGO OSCAR STATUE! Some extremely eagled eyed reddit users reversed engineered Nathan Sawaya’s Oscar statue and put up an LDD file which you can download here:

And Nathan Sawaya put his original design on Lego Ideas so if you like the design, drop him a vote here:

I'd assume that TRU has their own pricing structure and buy it if I am into that set haha 😅

Yes sir. Arkham Asylum Breakout is a nice set. I like it better than Jokerland and I think I'll give Jokerland a pass unless I have extra $$$. Most of it are almost repeat figures and vehicles. I'm not so concerned about the other Justice League/DC figures.

My Arkham is still MISB even though I got it about 2 years back tongue.gif
I agree that the Arkham Asylum Breakout is much nicer than Jokerland... But after reading the "Endgame" story arc, I now have itchy fingers to get Jokerland as well 😅 might get it while there's a promotion for the Joker Bumpercar 😅

Don't forget Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape. Think Jokerland just expanded on that set or they're supposed to work together.

I only collect certain arcs... This will be one of them. Am waiting for the tpb also as I only read the digital version 😁.
Missed the Funhouse Escape cause was contemplating too long... Should have just Buy First and Regret (maybe) Later haha

I wonder when will the lantern Corps vs Godheads TPB comes out ? hmm.gif

To be in TRU Times Square in the Big Apple for the experience would be great

Heard its only Hasbro, Mattel and Lego with Star Wars related stuff, don't think it will be actual Force Awakens stuff though

Morning! My latest SW picture spam... The 75111 buildable Darth Vader.

Loved the design and building experience. Not as plain as I initially thought as there's some complex build for the chest. I would prefer more armor for the legs to make it less skinny but it can be rectified by adjusting the poses. I made some modification to the cloak as I didn't like the way shown in the manual. 😄

QUOTE(kelvinlym @ Sep 7 2015, 10:01 PM)
Just got my set of CMF14 Halloween minifigs from my favorite toy store via the "feel" method.  I've come to really get the hang of it since I first started with the Simpsons Series 1.  That time I was still a rookie and had 2 duplicates.

After that, all my purchases were 100% on track.

I spent close to 45 minutes for this set.  Here are my tips.

1. Wolf Guy: Feel for the bone.  Shake the bag to find the bone and then verify both ends to make sure it is the same.  The bone is longer than you think.

2. Pirate:  The sword is a dead giveaway.  But some beginners might not know how it feels.  If you can find the beard part which feels like a small ring, you're spot on.  Also the hat can be easily felt.

3. Scientist: I found the beaker to be the easiest to identify.  Feel for the round part, verify the neck.  If you have Prof Frink's beaker, you can practice that at home.  Don't get confused with the pumpkin.

4. Witch:  Those familiar with the cat piece can feel for the cat.  I find it easier to find the broom piece.  Feel the end to make sure it is not the bone.

5. Plant monster: The head piece is the one to feel for.  It is large and will have a large opening.  Move your finger into the opening and follow the shape to make sure it is the one you're looking for.  Don't get confused with the Tiger lady's hairpiece (it's way smaller) or the spectre's hood (also smaller).

6. Fly Monster:  I find the easiest is to look for the head.  The antennae are the features you need to look out for.

7. Spectre: Look for the leg piece.  If you are not familiar with the piece, (like I was), feel for the chains.  They are unique to the series.  Then try to get a feel for the leg piece so that you can later identify the banshee.

8. Cheerleader: Feel for the pom poms.  Rub your finger a bit on them to feel the rough texture.  Find another one to confirm.  Also, they are not completely spherical so feel for the openings.

9. Tiger woman: Most guides say to feel for the whip.  The whip is quite thin and can get stuck in the instructions.  Try to feel for the head piece.  It has 2 ears and the hair curls up a the back.

10. Gargoyle: Feel for the short legs.  That's it.  To verify, this is a trick I do.  Find a leg piece and feel for the 2 studs that go into the torso.  Then try to bend the legs.

11. Skeleton guy: Look for the pumpkin.  It is smooth and round.  The top has a larger opening than the bottom.  Or you can try to find the handle piece.  Shake the bag to let it fall and if you find the handle piece, you're golden.

12. Monster rocker: The guitar is what you should feel for.  But may be confused with the broom.  I found mine by feeling for the head piece.  It feels like the pirate beard part, but larger and has a rough flat top.

13. Zombie businessman: The 2x2 tile is the dead giveaway.  But sometimes the tile might be stuck in the booklet.  I felt for mine be finding the briefcase.  It is very easy to identify.

14. Banshee: Like the spectre, feel for the legs.  Than go for the hairpiece.  The hairpiece is fairly large and rough.

15. Square foot:  I found it easiest by feeling for the camera.  The camera's handle is bent at an angle and has a stud in front.  Very unique piece.  The head piece can be felt to verify.

16. Spider lady: Look for the slope skirt piece and you're golden.  Easiest fig to identify.

Thanks for the guide but unfortunately no chance to test it here. Most places have already been molested by the time I get there.

Had a quick stop yesterday to try my luck. Only scientist, Frankenstein and Bigfoot left. Planning to get at least a set so grabbed 3 Bigfoots to make a family.

The other thing is someone has also written down numbers at the back of the packs.

6th Wedding Anniversary yesterday. Did a little photo for the missus.
