Hi guys.just getting back to lego especially technics after a 26 yr hiatus.yes I've been building technics before some are born....now I'm mostly trying to build complicated robots using mindstorms but at the same time, very interested to play with the current sets and use the as parts. Let's inform each other if there are any sales in town, especially in Penang area.

I'll start the ball rolling by announcing there is absolutely no sales in toys r us gurney plaza. As of 1 may 2015.

I thought Technics was expensive, after looking at the licensed items I also shiver.

I have totally blown my kids college funds. Just got my 42009. (ok the funds were small to start with lol).

Hehe thanks but I'm not super interested in RC or even PF as I mostly plan to break up the 42009 for parts to do Mindstorm robots.

Anyone knows the price of Technic sets in legoland? Does the pick a brick have technic elements like beams / axles / lift arms / pins?

For rc functions in msia i think only thru sets.
For xl motor u can get from sasbadi website.

Nothing beats the 42030 for rc functions... Just for me i already use ev3 and prefer autonomous robots.
Sasbadi selling rm100+ for one xl motor. When u count back this way, even breaking up the 42030 is worth it.

What price you get for the technic sets? Thinking to drop by also.

That 42042 is so poisonous....wonder how much it'll cost by the time it reach malaysia.

only 1 motor with switch is included. For RC etc you need transmitter and receiver which cost about RM200-250 per pair. Each pair is 2 channel (controls 2 motors)
