Wow, didn't realize there was a Rolex/Tudor thread. As for Sub prices; if not mistaken, RM25k for Sub and RM29k for Sub Date. Frankly speaking, prices are quite high today.

What sort of lobang you looking for? I think some ADs still have it, but all are selling for RM35k iirc.

Anyone in here have 1-2 (solid) center links that will fit a 116610 Sub? Please PM if you would consider parting with 1 link. Thanks.

Have decided to let this go; am playing with the idea of a 16610 instead. Call it silly, but I do prefer a Sub with green lume over blue. Am I the only one who thinks this way?

Agree, the bracelet is much nicer. Much, much nicer. I don't like the blue lume, and the lugs. Ok with Maxi dial, but maybe not necessary.

ck77 so your pick would be 116610 over 16610?

ck77 I do like the 14060 (have similar issues with 114060); but... as much as I don't absolutely need the date, it is a very nice to have! These are confusing times... with the falling RM, maybe I just get my grail watch and heck it.

Everdying I think... once you live with it for a week, you may quickly get used to it.

Sumo? I feel it is much fatter. And it doesn't wear anywhere as nice as the Sub.

And I have to agree to an extent, that the crown can be "blinding". Other people react differently to you. Like when I went in to ADs with the Hulk, super layan and willing to take out some pieces that are clearly (way) out of my budget to look see.

Sub ok ok. If I go in with my speedy, little attention (not that this is an issue for me).

Boutique should not be selling at premium. Also unlikely you will get any discounts from there. However, I know some pieces are being sold for a premium by most, if not all, ADs -- pieces like BLNR and Hulk specifically.

QUOTE(Everdying @ Oct 7 2015, 09:38 PM)
i dont think there's an actual rolex boutique, as in handled by rolex staff.
they're all handled by different dealers even the so-called boutiques.
interesting that rolex doesn't manage the dealers properly.
Maybe I was mistaken, but isn't the boutique at Starhill facing outwards with the glass lift Rolex's own boutique?

JPSB ah, okay. So there really is no independent Rolex store, then. Only a service center it seems.

Anyway, prices are supposed to be controlled, but clearly they are not. Fluctuates on demand and supply. yktan83 what model are you looking for, exactly?

X-posted from another thread; just a heads up for those who are keen -- BB black already in most ADs. THG will supposedly have an event this Fri at Gardens and this will be unveiled there. Others already have it on display.

RM12.7k and most do not offer any discounts. Is possible to squeeze 5% though.

You have any contact for 10%? Mine won't give more than 5%, not even for Pelagos or BB red/blue.

Prices should be roughly similar around the world, although I've heard that it IS cheaper in some places (like Taiwan). Also, watches older than 8 years will likely have higher service charges (as is the case with Omega, I've not sent any old Rolexes in for a service before).

Standard servicing for a Sub goes from RM2.1k and upwards, depending on how much work needs to be done.

Most will tell you some BS info about how it is limited, etc. But yes, definitely need to bargain. I can point you towards an AD and contact who knows me, but the rest is up to you. Maybe save a bit of your bargaining effort, lol.

10.5k is a really, really, really good price. Not seen that sort of discount in a long time. Next time ask you for contact, hehe.

Making the usual mistakes; honestly - just buy what you like. How do you know what you like? Easy. Walk into any Rolex AD and browse the watches they have on display. Datejust? Explorer? Submariner? Sky Dweller? Yacht Master? Nobody knows what you like, only you.

Your budget allows you to buy some models brand new, so I think it is worth your time stepping into a store to find out more.
