I disagree that Rolex is the best of the best. Today's prices are frankly a little bit insane. 100k for a steel Rolex? There are far more options that that price point. Omega, JLC, Bvlgari, and so many other brands produce watches that are equal to, or far surpass a Rolex.

Maybe there is a crash coming, maybe there isn't and prices will continue to soar. But why do you absolutely need to have a Rolex? As a tool to tell time, or as a status symbol? At the end of the day, it is your money, so you do what you think is best.

What happened in the past cannot be explain right now in the present. Remember when people said the Air-king was bad? now its trading close to 55k.
