Thank you for sharing your pics. Really want to see the SD43 and Sky Dweller in person. DJ41 also very interesting. We're a little slower, but dealers should have the previews sometime next week.

And, after some wait, finally...

Cheers gents, really quite happy with this purchase.

Kelvw unfortunately, I did not get this at retail; everyone marks them up here. The only way to get it for retail, it to buy a solid gold piece at the same time, or very recently. Most ADs here also say they put you on "the list" but never actually call you back in return. Its mostly first come first serve, and they don't stay very long.

Here are some shots of them together:

I have a vintage Rolex Oysterdate precision 6694. It was bought in 1978. What would be it's current value ? Conditions 8/10.

high baller "mansooriqbal" use chrono24 as comparison..i'm just sharing my experience so I don't want to argue much, good luck on your selling.

this is a discussion community and our discussion is in private, doesn't need to come out and shoot people to show you are better.

argument ends here and lets keep this thread going as we all are watch lovers here

Here the low baller arrives biggrin.gif
What is wrong with using chrono24?
Also did I say I was better or you were not :S? Got self esteem issues?

I think you shift to Tissot discussion thread?
Too expensive bang for you here.

I'm with jsflim. Willing buyer, willing seller. No need to air your laundry here.
No one is forcing you to sell. Just politely decline the offer and move on.

No need to put people down and refer them to the Tissot thread.
*
someone just doesn't want to do some research and simply label others as low baller. everything comes with willing buyer and willing seller, I'm just sharing my experience from retailer, online seller, forum, etc on their prices. if he doesn't like my suggestion, he can move on but he prefer to show case the incident to others to show that he is better and smarter person.

do some research and I can find 6694 in SGROC Trading Group from Singapore which do Rolex trading.

Attached Image

do more research and I can find vintage Rolex is that price range, depending on the watch condition.

I'm not trying to prove I'm right but I'm willing share what ever I know.

Just called up Rolex service center, seems like they don't do any watch verification anymore. Anyone got idea where else we can do verification on it?

RSC no longer takes in watches for verification, yes. But there is a way around it; say you want to drop off a watch for warranty work or looking to see if there is a need for service. There is a fee, and they will have to open the caseback anyway. This fee works out to the old "verification fee".
*
mind to share what's the cost for such service? if they open the caseback and found out it's replicate watch, they will reject to service?

QUOTE(Kelvw @ Jun 14 2017, 05:20 PM)
Been contemplating on purchasing Mondani books for awhile now as I've not been able to see the contents and also they're not cheap either. Decided to bite the bullet with my first copy of the 'Steel Rolex' and I'm happy to say I'm pretty pleased with the amount of images and information that's been gathered. It's well sized especially for a coffee table book and the print is sharp and the colours are vibrant.

Definitely learnt a lot from it as I've not seen so many unusual vintage rolex, captured in detail. This issue has also included models from Baselworld 2016 and the usual current models as well. I particularly liked the write up on military rolexes and seeing different engravings on the back cover. From a book design stand point, it is well laid out and has enough variance in the layout to keep your interest going. It breaks down the monotony by introducing facts, stories, collage of photos and detailed shots.
I'm not a WIS so I do find some information a bit much for casual reading but I suppose that's good for some. I just enjoyed drooling over the photos instead.

Overall I'm pleased and worth saving up for. I'll be looking forward to other Mondani books especially the Sub and GMT Master editions.

As usual the obligitory photos.

Looks like the Home Office Border force is pretty keen to see what's in the box. Never had a package inspected before and this is a first for me. There're couple of knocks and tear on the side packaging but it seemed pretty robust and wasn't worried for any damages.

Package is very well packed with padding all around, top, sides and bottom. The book is also protected by a cardboard slip.

The Steel edition comes with free Tshirt, a nice gesture.

Mondani included a few other bits as well. A Steel Rolex price guide, Mondani collection of Vintage Rolex, a large A2 catalogue foldout and the membership card. (I got to read up to see what the perks are)
