My wife and I have black cards but still carry a stack of 50s and some 100s everywhere we go as sometimes, you still need cash.

I also don’t think you can get black card by working just as a credit card salesman. There is a minimum income threshold, I believe. Even if trust fund baby with no job, also cannot get a black card as you need to show salary slips.
*
What is black card?

half of my salary to get rolex watch I guess
*
Half of your monthly or annual salary? Haha. Seriously I cant get the idea especially those earning rm10k monthly or less buying this kind of range watches.

Finally got "the call" from the Rolex AD this week to pick up the Submariner 124060  rclxm9.gif

Beyond excited, been waiting the better part of 3 years from the 114060 era. In the meantime, been tempted multiple times to pick up from grey dealers but now, glad I didn't. It's really the thrill of the chase.

Gorgeous well-proportioned piece vs the previous 11-series and the AR coating on the crystal really brings out the black dial. Well worth the wait.

Guys,

I got chance to get 40mm yatch master for around rm60k (after convert) but I need to buy a tudor watch around rm12k.

Another is submariner 41mm date for around rm60. Same deal, has to couple with tudor.

This is direct rolex. Should pull or wait? Price seems high due to exchange.

YM40 grey or blue? YM RRP should be more expensive than Sub IIRC.

Visually, YM wears smaller but looks flashier due to PCL.
Sub is safe/basic and can't go wrong look.
Just depends on what you're after.
*
YM40 gray. I am undecided.

Also another option is wimbledon all steel with oyster bracelet. I basically like all of them.

Subs vs YM vs Wimbledon.

Haha. This is my first rolex. Undecided which should I got to. I assume Wimbledon will be the hardest to get? No?

In my collection, I have 5-6pcs of Tag Heuer from Carrera to Formula 1, Omega Planet Ocean 44mm, and Tudor GMT pepsi white dial.

yes I quite agree with boss here

the ym or the sub type, u have the similar genre but with other brands

although personally Wimbledon for me must be flute + jub and SS only

I remember when they offer me the 2 tone Wimbledon(Both yellow n rose)  I was so disgusted by it  tongue.gif  tongue.gif

I go for Wim with oyster. I dont quite like the jubs. So oyster it is. From AD but after convert close to RM48k. Suffered because of our RM is dropping in value but no choice. Not available AD in Malaysia. I bought basic 31mm oyster for me to eligible to purchase this. So damage is pretty high.

Anyway, Malaysia AD never have stock even we buy 2pcs of rolex (1 of our choice; 1 is their clearance/unwanted stock)?

At least oversea work this way. Just pain in the ass is the ringgit so weak currently. Otherwise, I am more than happy to buy.

as long as you like it, every one has their preference
enjoy your new watches
are you able to get any gst/vat refund? I believe that pricing is due to additional tax and not because of myr dropping?
rolex pricing are quite the same worldwide, although I believe msia still one of the lowest

48k is about grey pricing here I assume
*
No. I did not get the tax refund as here has no tax refund policy. So, yeah, high price but at least can get it from AD rather grey. About same price.

By the way, in some countries, we can buy rolex by walk in .. Just that we need to buy either lousy Tudor model or some other low demand rolex for us to entitle to get our desired model (subs, explorer 2, etc are available immediately upon purchase lousy Tudor). Is n't this work in Malaysia AD?

Or you can buy other brands other than Rolex at Hour Glass which is  one of the Rolex AD that sells other brands other than Rolex.

If you are only wanting to get a particular Rolex, i'd get it at trusted Grey dealers.
*
Oh meaning in Malaysia also possible to buy rolex but need to couple with other brand watch (that is available in AD)?

These are wish list means u might never see watch coming at all...

I think Datejust need to wait for years (depend of configuration..)

They might offer you a sub when u have record spendings of 100-150K..

Many plp reg interest list for a sub 4 years ago and still got nothing to date..
*
Tbh, I dont mind spending 100k on low demand rolex watches until I get somethiNg I want. I been buying rolex oversea and spending 6 digits as well but it will be nice if I can do this in our own country. With exchange rate not favoring us, buying from our own market seems to be chaper too.

My wife and I did not plan to purchase any watches in this trip as we just got 2pcs (1 for her, 1 for me) during our previous trip last month.

Yesterday I walk into another AD in oversea and they showed me a few models available for purchase. All for ladies tho. So My wife took ref 278243 just to create purchase records here. The sales girl was nice too. Very kind and even told me will try get the latest models allocated for me this April (launching at Watches and Wonders Geneva).

However, it is a little painful buying oversea as our currency drops so much in last 6 months or more. So Im actually paying 15-20% more in RM compared to our AD price but the ultimate goal is create records at AD for future purchases. So lets be it.

Still hoping that Malaysia AD will call me. 🙏🏻.

I dont know bro. Everytime I walked into Rolex AD in Malaysia and asked any unit available, they said nothing to offer. It has been 4-5 times and fed up with Malaysia AD.

I have let them know my desired model. They said no stock. Then I asked any model avail? And answer as expected, nothing to offer.
