Discount for BLNR is unlikely unless you go grey.

Kop before current models MSRP increase and GST.

First thoughts: Understated, less bulk and in a way more subtle and refined than the current ceramic bezel models. Fine example of the tool watches Rolex is known for. I can see this as my everyday watch while the GMT2 will be out for more special occasions.

Beautiful! Just copped my 216570 yesterday in Polar white, and I must say I have the same comments and sentiments. My bros got the Submariner and GMT Master II together with me, and the Explorer II somehow just stands out more. My hunt for the strap continues...

My thoughts were for the 16570 Exp2 (bought pre-owned). The new version is larger case (2mm), topping the Sub/GMT2 so not really sure if it's as subtle as the old model. Nonetheless, it has a striking dial indeed. If I remember correctly only 3 models come in white dials: Exp2, Milgauss and Daytona.

Enjoy your polar!

Hi all,

I bought GMT Master II recently. Later only I found out that there's a small scratch at the back as following. I never wear the watch. Is it normal? Am thinking of going back for exchange.  cry.gif

Not normal definitely. If you bought it from AD, I guess it's a matter of sending it back. How did you miss it in the first place? Looks very obvious from the pictures.

18k - 20k should get you a fine pre-owned piece. In fact, not far off for the newer ceramic bezel model as well (pre-owned prices). Pre-owned 114060 should be within this range.

You should have it wound. Probably not fully wound up hence stopped before max power reserve.

^I would think not as changing straps does not affect the movement.

^I doubt Everest straps are meant to fit vintage DJ. Any other generic strap would be ok e.g. Hirsch, Hadley Roma etc as long as the lug width is correct.

JPSB ah, okay. So there really is no independent Rolex store, then. Only a service center it seems.

Anyway, prices are supposed to be controlled, but clearly they are not. Fluctuates on demand and supply. yktan83 what model are you looking for, exactly?

Don't know about Malaysia but in some countries the manufacturer can only suggest a MSRP and cannot dictate retail prices or they risk flaunting anti-monopoly / anti-trust laws. So there must be some leeway in terms of discount.

Just speaking in general of course, perhaps someone can advise if this is applicable to the watch retail segment.

A Tudor President? What made you attracted to this particular model?

guys kindly advise how much is 11610LN (SS sub date) & 114060 (SS sub)

Cant manage to ask,  AD is busy with China customer whacking about 8-10 SS sports model.

Why China tourist is buying so many ? There out of stock ?

Because China has a ridiculous luxury tax and the exchange rate benefits.

Explorer 1, Oysterquartz. Cellini of course but that was never their mainstream as a 'tool watch' maker.
