Hi Rolex sifu,

I would like seek advice for my first Rolex watch purchase.

My concern is

1) What the difference between purchase at Rolex shop found in major shopping complex compare to those shop advertise in FB? (For example: Swiss connection, Time Galaxy or Watchclub publika) Besides cheaper price...any disadvantages?

2) How do I know is the movement inside the watch not tempered or swap if I purchase from those not Rolex dealer shop? I know can send to Rolex service center for verification but what IF really found the movement has been modify....what can I do?

3) The 5 years international warranty still valid? Since the watch not purchase from authorized dealer and is a grey unit.

Anyone here have experience buying Rolex from non authorized Rolex shop in Malaysia?

Many thanks in advance.

To me, if you can already afford a Rolex, buy from an AD

No point saving 1-2K and worrying about it later and having that doubt lingering in your mind

Similar like buying a bespoke suit, most would like to be serviced like they are buying a Rolex

Enjoy the experience, instead of the typical bargain off the shelf experience biggrin.gif

Just asking only. Might pull the trigger end of the year. Got my LV last month. But I will surely contact you. Yes  tongue.gif

Try parallel importer, but then again i know most won't, if you're already shelling out 70K++ might as well get from AD local or overseas

Just curious, what product you guys used to polish your Rolex bracelet & how often you polish it? Currently I'm using this product from US known as Cape Cod polishing cloth. For me generally I will just leave the scratches on the time piece as I believe it will signify my character, then if it longer shine or too much scratches then I will start polishing it.
