I bought DateJust II for myself from Starhill and also Datejust for my wife from Pavillion (very good discount as they were running promotion). One problem though. If I leave the watch idle for about a day, it will stop but for my wife's one, it wont. Is it normal?

first automatic watch? all that says is ur wife is more active than u are cos u never said if u actually winded it to full first before leaving it alone.

What do you mean by winding it to the full? I use it everyday and I only left it alone on Sunday. The same goes to my wife.

just cos u use it everyday doesnt mean it's being wound enough to build up a decent power reserve.
so it can be normal for a watch to stop after idle for one day.
obviously the best way to test is to wind it to full and leave it alone for at least 2 days and see if it can last.

How to wind it to full? And how to check whether its full?
