hihihehe:
Thanks for the tip, I might be in HK next month, I suppose no harm shopping around in the Rolex ADs there, other than the risk of being accosted by the protestors!

Chinoz:
Thanks for the advice. my kiasu-ness doesn't allow me to buy at inflated reseller prices.
I think I'll try pursuing a strategy of looking for friends which work in or own Rolex ADs .... and try persuading them to forgo higher side-income and sell me the sub instead of to resellers smile.gif
*
There are many shops selling Rolex in HK, are they cheaper compared to KL? Thanks.

Nope, if you're talking about the popular steel pieces. I think no also even if you are talking about the unpopular ones...

There are many shops that sell Rolex here too, just you gotta pay premium just like in HK or Japan.

Spend lo. If you drop like 300-500k, you can probably get a daytona within a month or so.

I was in the CBD ones, THG and WoS. Displays weren't as sparse as the ones in KL when I was back a few months ago, but it's the usual PM/TT DJs only.
Find it hard to believe that you can't even get hold of SS DJs now.

According to Rolex's website, Batman (Jubilee) is $12,250 and Sub D is $11,300, both prices GST-inclusive.
