QUOTE(skyll @ Jan 13 2015, 06:12 AM) i have asrock mobo and the mobo just died out of nowhere. i just used it for a year and few months and never manually oc the board what a shame if asrock mobo is the leading manufacture when the current product fails to deliver what it should be doing what model? i personally felt msi & gigabyte fail more than asrock. i support asrock.

cons ASRock H97 Pro4 red @ the hole too near with the heat-sink so when screw need to be careful! yellow @ when open the latch will hit the capacitor blue @ wrong position USB 3.0 header cause the connector cable will be blocked if the GPU thickness is more than 45mm (mine 40mm so just nice only) sweat.gif FYI, NZXT H440 USB 3.0 connector cable is totally loosen which can't really attached securely. QUOTE(silrave @ Feb 5 2015, 03:59 PM) haha i think before m-atx but i got 4 hdd so not enough for me wao no gaming? watch but they just talk about the features but not sure real world is it got use or not i think real world slightly improve only. my xfastlan can't open & app charger only for iphone user not android so useless. asrock software might need to improve. i prefer asus software nicer & stable that's y asrock always under asus, msi, gigabybts, evga, etc..

QUOTE(silrave @ Feb 5 2015, 04:11 PM) haha xfastlan ? i dunno it auto open when boot up app charger only for iphone = = then time to uninstall it haha asus those big brand price are more expensive i personally prefer asus. my previous asus mobo really lasting till now but my budget restricted that's y i choose asrock. so far so good for the mobo. i tested asrock software as far i can said is pretty useless sry no offense. installed xfastlan at 1st can open but after that can't open anymore. now i only installed A-turning & the app charger cos my bro sometimes charge with his ipad.

QUOTE(goldfries @ Feb 7 2015, 12:08 AM) does the charger software make it charge faster than the rated supply by USB 3.0? I find my devices charge quite fast with USB 3.0. no iPhone to try. i don't think so. charging my s3 or other android phone still running 460mA even connected on USB 2.0/3.0 is still the same no improvement. fyi, i checked with the galaxy charging current app. the ampere app by braintrapp is not accurate as i tested already. the app charger software specifically support apple users only. QUOTE(horns @ Apr 25 2015, 12:36 PM) besides ultra m.2, this is the one that i am waiting for in laptops also. for safer bets, always do this in bios screen or dos. windows versions of bios upgrades are kind of risky from my previous experience in other machines (was lucky to be able to recover from them) yeah i think asrock mobos are satisfying. you will not need to pay more to have the worst frustrations that you can have in personal computing hehe from 1.40 > 1.50 > 1.60 no issue with win mode. thanks bro. noted. i avoid win mode. asrock more user friendly compare to intel mobo.

QUOTE(horns @ Apr 25 2015, 12:49 PM) my previous bios updates were all fine in bios screen. yeah these days asrock bios screen alone is already very user friendly. imo it's no point to risk anything, especially in bios updates. after applied win mode, restart & bios will auto update but too bad nothing happened. i saved the bios on my usb & flash thru bios there.

QUOTE(horns @ Apr 25 2015, 01:26 PM) that's nice. at least it didn't give you a chance to pull your hairs (it's painful) haha also, if you wanted to play with usb settings in the bios, it's better to make sure you have a ps/2 keyboard handy (i think usb to ps/2 adapter should work also). i'm running ultrafast boot mode (w8.1 uefi mode. normally i go to bios via win+i), and my keyboards/mice are usb-based. with ultrafast mode, no usb devices are active until your os boots properly. i was stuck when i played with usb settings previously (just for fun, until it turned to something else lol) i unplugged the machine, left it alone for some time to drain power, and then tried jumper reset. nothing happened. (i thought it's supposed to work, resetting everything to defaults) luckily i have an old ps/2 keyboard lying around, and managed to save the day ya but mostly ps/2 for those heavy OC fella. i don't know y i can't boot into bios when i 1st bought this mobo if gpu is inserted. everything when black screen then i short the jumper & remove cmos also the same.
