stir fry but banjir like that...why dont call it kuey teow soup?
other food with gravy is not char ady..like ying yong, wa tan hor...etc...different name, confirm not char...

i dont judge cause i wont eat malay cooking chinese food...
i only eat malay food, like nasi lemak, karipap...etc...where malay folks do well...
another example i see is pau...when malay folks make pau...really facepalm...pau rendang, inti only got sikit kuah, the rest is flour...

food in tbr is just so-so.
if they are good, they will not be stuck in tbr.
tbr business is meant for students who doesn't have transport, so they cannot travel far to find better food.

As far as I know, char kueh teow is the dry version. The wet version is usually call wat tan hor or chow hor fun
p/s...wat in Cantonese means slippery. People often mispronounce it as wan tan hor

Char means fried in Hokkien or Teochew. Chow is Cantonese for fried. Hokkkien Teochew call it kueh teow while Cantonese call it hor fun

food in tbr is just so-so.
if they are good, they will not be stuck in tbr.
tbr business is meant for students who doesn't have transport,  so they cannot travel far to find better food.

prefer the one where the cook not so lazy to peel the prawns.

Strange lar, Chinese cuisine.

Some dishes, must peel prawn wan.

Other dishes, must cook prawn in shell or tak sedap.

I still can't figure out the rule behind it. hmm.gif

Cannot imagine the taste. It looks awful to me.
More like "koay teow" (name of the mee) mix with pre-mixed sauce. Stir fry 1 min the let you eat.
Like throw rojak into frying pan/wok, stir 1 min before serve.

honestly the quality going down significantly over the past years while the price increases significantly. Now it tastes more like salty water. Do not recommend.
