Currently using this dampener. My view is that this dampener really suits our Malaysia pothole roads. The car still feels solid when going over deep potholes.

Cornering ability is better than OEM dampener too as IMP dampener are stiffer. I believe this dampener can last way longer than OEM dampener as the tube is thicker & was designed for heavy duty use.

The rear IMP shocks seems to have a shorter stroke though as compared to the front pair. When going over speed bumps, the rear IMP shocks tends to pull down the rear end of the car down even before the rear spring stretches to its maximum. I believe it was designed in this way to reduce the body roll of the car.

The only downside is that the ride quality of the car is now more hard but not as hard as pairing with sports springs & shocks. I can still bear with it though as we have to trade in a bit of comfort for firmer ride.

I would still recommend the IMP shocks as it was really designed & made to suit our Malaysia road conditions.

Been using it for 1/2 year already.. Do far still good & firm. If it becomes soften.. The stiffness will be like OEM which is good also after prolong use.

How much is the workshop charging you for the shocks and workmanship? Do share your feedback after installing your new shocks.

The price is around there with installation. I know there are places with cheaper price but worried about their workmanship.

You can try enquire Speedmodz at Cheras Alam Damai.. Their workmanship is good.

You pasti same brand & model tak? Kalau memang IMP comfort shocks, you confirm sudah kena cekik darah.. Sebenarnya RM1100 pun dah mahal sikit. Saya kasi dia buat sebab dengar workmanship dia bagus. Kalau beli & pasang dekat bengkel luar, harga mungkin di sekitar 900+.

Am using this for more than a year already. Quite hard but not hard enough for hard cornering. Bouncy so it's a bit sensitive as I went from KL to melaka the highway seemed like uneven so the high rebound rate might gives you the rocking feeling. It's nothing soft. A friend using adjustable thought Im using one because he felt like the medium setting of his dampers as he drove mine. Rm1100 is the normal price for this, for myvi that is.

1600 very expensive already. You better ask around shops see whether they sell IMP.

First of all, myvi isn't build for comfort. Hardly any budget stricken car is comfortable as far as I can remember or experienced. Say if you fit a soft suspension and a soft tyre wall, your straight line stability will be shot immediately. Not to mention body roll during corners. I cant recommend anything to really improve the car's comfortability other than the stock shock and soft tyres. Soft spring? Meh. Nice comfy seat? Sure if you can afford recaro but that's way off too far.

One bloody car that is comfortable really really one to sit behind or in front is the ghost. Rolls fucking royce.
