If you have plant, then they have something to eat like algae or organic matter (detritus). I only have feeder shrimp or ghost shrimp & feed them hikari sinking micro pellets. lol

Got another free same tank as current setup. (10g tank)
Current tank is Fire Red NeoCaridina + Co2 setup.

Just bought Chihiros RGB A-Plus A601 to upgrade the lighting and will sharing across two tank.

So, now my question is Co2 sharing, as I already having regulator with solenoid and don't like to get another Co2 tank system.
Any one try using splitting via Aquarium Multi CO2 Needle Valve

Setup condition>>

i have a splitter ( i think Mufan)- it will work though take a bit of patience to set it up.
coz if you open one side more, the other side will suffer. Some fine tuning needed for few few day- and there after it is good to go.
do have bubble counter and check valve at both side- for easier to visualize

anotehr CO2 tank and solenoid is just too expensive.

OK, I'm curious how to join from regulator to splitter.

Regulator > Tube > splitter > check valve
or
Regulator > splitter > check valve

Yes, I had another bubble counter ready for each outlet later. Will get another neo diffuser too.

If you like to see more babies, feed them once or twice per week...
Shrimp food really cheap, even you can feed some Mulberry leaf(桑叶) if your area someone plant it...

They act like termites !
Saw a big 1 scraping the driftwood
& small pieces fall off !

I now rear them in a fishbowl
Got 4 zebras inside
I try to limit the water change
As suggested 10%
But the water still smelly
Change 50% they will die ?

Can you list complete parts for the CO2 system you're using with their cost for each of the parts? Thank you.

Well, the driftwood must be low quality. I have one, heavy & feel solid while another one feels light & when I took out to clean it some small pieces fall off.

Why you moved them to different container? 50% is the limit I think. More than that you're asking for trouble. How smelly? Like rotten egg? Or smell like lumut like?

Musty, I think once your tank balanced, the smell would go away.

I don't think it is good idea to run the pump above the water level. I think your bowl can survive without filter.

too much water change is no good- i would not recommend to do 90% change every day or every week.

typical- we do 30% water change. if more changes needed- then we should do 2X or 3X per week.
you are considering seachem for what purpose eh?
if water conditioner.... then we would Tension Gon would be good.
equally important is the filtration system,- as in
A- need to have enough circulation flow.
B- sufficient media for beneficial bacteria-  it will breakdown the waste to simpler substance, for the plant to adsorb
*
i put in some tention gon
& some the shrimp came out of hiding
maybe is smells / tastes like food biggrin.gif

Just want to make sure I got the story right. The zebra & the shrimps originally in the (other) tank but you moved them to the bowl. Right? If this is right, the change is too much for shrimps to handle, IMO. If the bowl already running for a while & already established/balanced, then it won't be a problem.

Here u go @kizwan
CO2 tank
Aluminum type either Ista or Up Aqua.
Promo could get around RM200.
It could last 4 to 6 month. And refill is RM13
https://s.lazada.com.my/s.1ENy8
There is also steel tanks converted from Fire exthingusher- I would not recommend it.

Regulator w Solenoid
Got mine Rm 200 plus.
Below link is RM130., seems good review.
https://s.lazada.com.my/s.1E0H6

Another brand is Mufan, but dunno why got bad review.
https://s.lazada.com.my/s.1EXy7

3 way splitter. - if u want to supply to 2 or 3 tanks.
Rm50
https://s.lazada.com.my/s.1E0HM

Bubble counter and check valve
Rm 10

https://s.lazada.com.my/s.1EOPQ

Diffuser.
Ista UFO. This give fine bubbles. RM 25
https://s.lazada.com.my/s.1EQkd

If can get Aquarious Neo. This give the finest bubbles.
https://shopee.com.my/product/158666631/740...3550?smtt=0.0.9

It is quite an investment. But this hobby gave me lots of joy throughout the MCO. It is a satisfying hobby

Here u go- can refer my set up. I use a 3 way splitter instead of 2 way.... coz not much difference in price and in case I wanna 3rd tank.

Agree the regulator outlet face down is causing issue.
The “Tee” in your photo cannot be splitter - coz it don’t have valve.
Though - If possible, u may use it to divert the regulator valve outlet to the side ( ie elbow).

If u lost- u May PM me.

Thanks for feedback.
Yes, been consider purchase 3 way but thinking may not fit so had purchase 2 way to test out now.
Currentlyl, i join to a tube and holding by a nut, as the splitter join is incoming with thread, its seen work as long as during assembly is not blocking...

For backup plan, I added a adjustable valve after the "Tee" join, but this may having inconsistent pressure on both end.

oh
the zebras have been in the bowl
since day 1
they are fine

the shrimps i bought
& put them together
but keep dying
it seems the internal filter is not suitable
makes the water warmish
another shrimp kaput
i think i'll get a bigger tank instead

try to put some food- they will come out.
those which can sink to bottom.

Pls find my sort of bowl aquarium.
there were some shrimps last time, with ember tetra... then slowly the shrimps are gone.
i've move out the ember and change to cheery barb- i think they are even less friendly with shrimps.
