My Fluval 206 is still new, less than 1 yr old.

replacing the seal every 2 yrs is quite OK IMO. I guess you can prolong the lifespan of the seal by applying silicon grease?

that thing, i haven't had a chance to get one yet..   and i'm still using vaseline for all my rubber seal.

Vaseline approved in many planted aquarium forum good 4 butt hurt too 

but i would advise using small amount is suffice, even if u get high quality silicon grease, u don't want 2 gunk up n block ur canister pump

pure petroleum jelly does not dissolve in water and break down by soap it will clog the canister pump,
if too much is applied or applied wrongly
no need apply anything 2 the o-ring lar, not expensive or hard 2 buy also

Fluval spare parts last time i normally go ipc pet shop at the curve there, the salt water aquarium shop got carry
ehiem spare parts almost every store got carryipc pet shop got carry the spare parts too, but mostly parking full
so i went to fish depot at sunway mas commerce center, if they out of stock they can order too

last choice is amazon

still got, last time they are near the ikea end, but now they move to another end, same floor but smaller in size

maybe try order from amazon if you can wait, it is from fluval themselves, trusted source

I always get poisoned every time i step into ADA's showroom. It's slowly sucking my wallet dry, month by month. 

shouldn't be a problem. just have to use the right hose (high pressured type).
i believe most of the aquarium shops do sells in small quantity. just ask for how many spoons of what you need, is fine.

if you're in PJ, i drop by fish depot to get those last time. 88 also can.
