Mine was growing like mad(2cm a day) before i put in the phosphate and nitrate reducer, and I always break off the main stem into half and replanted them when its tip reaches water surface, always works.
Growth seems to be much much slower now..
*
last time..
most of mine turn brown after one massive trimming
now i only grow moss
less headache biggrin.gif

I like these two:

- Alive Aquarium in NSK Kuchai Lama (reasonable price)
- 88 pet mart in pandan indah (everything is more expensive)

They normally restock on Wednesday, best time to visit is after wed.
*
thanks bro
never been to alive aquarium at NSK
but been to both 88 pet mart in pandan indah and sunwaymas

Hi all,

I would like to start a planted shrimp tank but i'm a beginner and i have no idea where to start.
I currently have a 1 x 1 x 1 feet tank. Any advice for the basic setup ?
i plan to upgrade the tank slowly.
*
what kind of shrimp you plan to keep??

and i will not advise a beginner to start at 1ft tank
since space is limited
and to make it look awesome..
u need a knowledge about the plant
size of plant matter biggrin.gif

p/s:
unless you go for simple style like iwagumi with carpet

I'm going to start with a planted tank first, what can i plant if i dont want to invest in CO2 in order to achieve iwagumi?
*
many that those use as carpet plant
like HC or monte carlo
need co2
and intense lighting
to keep them short, bushy and crawling all over the tank
but there's also a story that ppl successfully grow them without co2
but in intense lighting condition

you can also try using moss first
there's also plenty of moss variety
so in one aquascape you can use two or more moss variety

Guys,

Wanna ask, to do this planted aquarium, do we need to have a specific tank or we can use the normal tank like the used fish tank in LFS
*
you doesn't need a specific tank
just that many aquascaper use crystal clear aquarium for photo shoot. to get the best picture

Sifu sifu sekalian any comment before i start adding plants?
*
less rock in front
and you doesn't need to buried the end of the wood
it can be cover by background steam plant
or
you can cover more place with aquasoil
and use less sand
if depth of aquasoil is your concern

ckck_92

do you use tap water or RO water??
as everybody advise here..
the problem is with excess nutrient

and to make it more easily manageable
try use RO water + fert
so you can manage your water nutrient

Greetings,

Would like to seek for some advice on how to rescape the plants into better order. Started this tank months ago and it looks very messy now.
*
this is why i hate stem/background plant
they outgrow quiet fast compared to those middle ground or foreground plant

hi everybody,

I am planning to build 4X2X2 feet aquarium, as for now, I am seeking the light that can be used for my aquarium, i have meet with alot of shop and they suggest me to get high end led light such as ADA solar RGB or zetlight qmavern as they said hard for led to cater 60cm aquarium height.

i am seeking for any sifu to advise me. I am planning to buy fluval 2.0 light if okay
*
depend on what type of plant that you wish to have..
and tank layout setup..
the best cost effective way is using those led floodlight
so you can plan which part of aquarium need more light penetrations or less
unless you plan to do iwagumi style smile.gif
covering all tank with foreground plant
then u really need those high penetrations light on all parts of your tank

I jst put it above my shoe rack cover area with sunlight. smile.gif
*
yes...natural sunlight is more cost effective smile.gif
then u will also get unpredictable growths of algae
and ur plant will grow towards which ever position of those sunlight too..
definately not towards upward

Guys, where to buy nice drift wood with a lot of complicated branches?

Price roughly how much?

The ones that I see at LFS are terrible lol

*
it's probably "man" made biggrin.gif
just buy one big roots driftwoods to make it a center
and buy plenty of smaller type and glue it together
so it appeared the roots going in spiral and natural

for an idea u can try visit aquacult studio
at damansara perdana
nice and friendly owner

yeah, i also checked. they have 60cm then 80cm and 90cm. but not 70cm.

quite pricey at RM262 a piece without the stylish stainless steel stand which cost you another 30 bucks which will be RM292 for the light.

i can help get it (pre-order) at a cheaper price with the stylish stainless steel stand comes together.
*
are those chihiros look alike led light ?
how much for a901 ?
im interested to pre order if the price is right biggrin.gif
