Hi guys, need suggestion for a postpaid plan for my iPhone. Area is in Alor Setar, occasionally will travel around Kedah area, my job.

For data, 2-3GB per month is good, only for Whatsapp, Twitter, Insta and some web surfing.

Been using Celcom prepaid for a long time, not much problem. The new Celcom plan is nice, but i heard after data quota finish, will turn pay per use? Is it true?

MaxisOne plan is also nice, free calls with 2GB, tempting for me. But i heard maxis line/billing got problems sometimes.

Any other plans i should consider?

Thanks in advance.

I would say Digi SmartPlan 50. And for MNP you get additional 100mins + 100 sms to all operators.

I called Digi to ask... so the Smartplan 50 free calls and sms only for new user registration (new or via MNP)... But take note that unlike the old Smartplan where the internet speed throttles down after hitting the limit... this new Digi plan will block the data after u hit the quota....

Otherwise for new user... i think this is a pretty good deal !!!

Actually depend of your budget and your usage.
you must know your purpose 1st,

If you did a lot of call for all network and standard use for data,
i advise maxis one plan rm128-unlimted call to all network and 2gb data.

If you did a lot of maxis call and less call to other network, lite use for data,
i advise u get maxis one plan lite RM78-unlimited maxis call with 1GB data.

If you did very less call but need standard data,
Digi smart plan 50 (2GBdata +100 minit call)or smart plan 78 (2gb+1gb apps)is better.

Most important is,you must know what is your purpose 1st,only you can choose the best plan.

depends on the price per config

The one I got from DiGi, RM78 for 2+1GB of data and extra minutes and SMS is very good.

It is as good as the "OLD" Maxis Surfmore 75 (because surfmore does not come with minutes nor sms bundled for the same price), and DiGi is the only one that gives 5GB extra for RM50 (despite the 5 day limit), which makes it better if you're going to stretch the value.

Celcom has a new plan, but its' very confusing.

effective 29 Jan, maxis is taking down the surfmore 75 package. last time used go have voice add on and sms add on for free minutes and sms. maxis taking down the voice add on package.
seems like they are forcing user to switch to the maxis one plan which is expensive.

Coming from a Maxis user, best you sign up for SurfMore50 then add on the Voice Value Add for RM 12, 120mins call to all networks. If you really need, there is a SMS add on at RM 6 as well.
My advise is take up SM50 and add on the voice for a total RM 62 monthly. For this you will get 2GB and 120mins monthly.

But RM128 macam bit overkill to me.. sweat.gif

maxis 'limitless' does have a quota of 3,500 minutes call before, but already changed it to true unlimited no so long ago. iinm.

been using for 1 month+, so far calls are ok, no drops, but signal and data inconsistent. Whatsapp usually need a sec or two to connect to server, sometimes can be a bit annoying.

Hello! Xpax no longer has pay per use. after ur quota finishes it will be using unlimited internet, no payment needed but a reduction in its speed. Xpax is good so far for me, im using the RM38 2gb. really worth it plus the 10 10 10 plan =)

Talking about coverage i think celcom still lead the rest esp if u're not in KV. Juz that their data is not up to standard due to their strategy o using 900 band for 3g. Others esp maxis is working very hard in fact, in term of coverage.. Theyre investing so much. To complement that so there'll be some hidden charges

redONE has the widest network coverage as it rides on Celcom coverage. But redONE's data speed is 7.2mbps H+. Data speed is very fast.

So, recap.

It's about 4 months since I registered for MaxisOne 128 plan. 2GB data is enough for social apps, but data connection is killing me.

Thinking of switching to other telco with POSTPAID. Right now eyeing Digi postpaid plan at 78.

Any Digi user in here from Alor Setar Kedah?

3GB data, 50mins and SMS to any network
Only RM38/month =D
Celcom in Alor Setar is strong, i used Celcom before but
Now using Digi due to company subsidy plan.

so far OK, in Alor Setar area no drop calls, but sometimes 3G turns E for some time then return back to 3G. data experience is mostly the same with other telcos.  sweat.gif

Please explain how is redOne saving money compared to Celcom First Basic 38?

Celcom First Basic 38
RM38 + 6% GST = RM40.30
3GB data, 64kbps throttle speed, carry forward 3GB/mth max
50mins free to all network, RM0.15/min to all networks
50sms free to all network, RM0.15/sms to all networks
No contract

Redone bundle 3GB unlimited data (I'm just assuming the "++*" in your website means unlimited throttle, since there is no clear cut explanation for the symbols "++")
RM8 + RM 55 + 6% GST = RM66.30
3GB + 150MB data, 64 kbps throttle speed, no carry forward unused data
RM0.15/min to all network
RM0.10/sms to all network
12 months contract

Celcom First Basic 38 has no contract, gives free sms and calls to ALL networks, LTE speed (>7.2 Mbps), and cheaper by RM16.00, or 24%.

Redone has cheaper SMS rate, and 150MB more data.

Kindly suggest a competitive plan from redOne vs First Basic 38 if I missed out on it. Keep in mind redone unlimited on-net free calls is meaningless as Redone user population is not significant.

for voice, it's very affordable with very low commitment, especially for couples. smile.gif

It depends on your current call usage. We usually plan for customer.

If usage for your current line is less than RM50 per month, redONE RM8 plan is suitable for you to save your bill.

For this plan, call to Non-redONE network is RM0.15 per minute (RM0.08 per 30 seconds) at Flat rate.

Maybe you can call your family (redONE Users) for FREE.
