hi all, a stray kitten followed me back about half a year ago, adopted it since.

for the past whole month it's been meowing non stop, checked and neutered him last saturday but he's still making lots of noise. gave enough attention etc. vet said he's healthy. food and all ready.

i chain him when he's outside, cannot let him wander around freely since my neighbours may complain.

any advises on how to keep him quiet?

try play wit it until it gets tired.

when its older, maybe will be more quiet.

u put him in cage or seperate frm you for long time during work? n sleep @ nite?

Yes it's a male, he's never been put in a cage, always chained up few meters long so he can wander around. My mom is at home to take care of him.

For male cats even after a couple of days after neutered (can up to few weeks) they can still have instinct to mount female cat that is in heat. They even can make female cat pregnant during this period. It takes few weeks for all of the sex hormones in circulation to be eradicated. One of my male cats like this but he is not vocal though. After a week if I remember correctly, eventually he have zero feeling to female cat. I think your cat will calm down eventually.

Great to know this! Will monitor him over the next few days to see any improvements. Thanks smile.gif

no idea what breed is it, tried searching but seems like a lot variant also look like it sweat.gif

sweat.gif so serious, then how u handle your cat then?

cant confirm if it's coz he wants to mate or just wants to go out.. about 6 months if i remember right. cant remember the exact month. august or september i believe, vet said 3 weeks old at the time of adoption

if your cat is ok with it. it doesnt struggle or trying to harm himself with the leash, and there is people @ home looking after him,, should be ok.

but dont leave him unattended like that.

some cats are cool.
like the white cat tht clings on to the back of the mat motor balik kampung.. even on the highway, so far he never jumps off. but its very stress to see he has to do that.

if your cat, is making noise because he dont like to be leashed like that, then u need to think of other way.
if you dont wana let him out of the hse (better dont)
you find a time when he can be released inside the hse, with the door close. there r times when its not possible, so put him in a room or a cage.

nope doesnt harm himself, very good boy when on leash just outside house looking at cars pass by

he makes noise even if not chained, not sure what to do sweat.gif no worries he has a lot freedom the whole day since only my mom's at home. only chain few hours a day.
