Anyone knows where to get catnip plant?


I did some reading, and below is what the plant looks like :

There is also another species, called 'acalypha indica'. In Bahasa, it is called 'kucing galak' / 'ceka emas' .



The plant thrives in our climate, so I would be hard-pressed if it could not be found here

I plan to plant the plant, then dry the laeves myself.
Not only it is cheaper, I can also give it to other cat owners


I have a hunch that kucing galak / ceka emas, or whatver the local term is called, is the same thing.
But.... I heard the plant may give the same feeling as weed, so I am not entirely sure if is legal to plant it in Malaysia. Ha ha

And yeah, identifying the plant may be a challenge.... if you are looking it in the wild/jungle.
However, I think places that sells flowers/trees/plants may know it.

Trouble is.... I am not sure where the shops are

LOL ofcz it is relative! But as I do like gardening, the effort / time is negligible (i mean, if I am not attending to the catnip plants, i'd spent it on other plants).
That, and the fact that I would want to have better use of my area. Well, flowers are nice, but why not plant things that can be for other uses as well, hehe)

LOL methink it is about individuality, not gender per se. Some may like the leaves, some the roots, some dun give the slightest damn pun, haha.
Just to be sure, planting it is 'legal', right? Read a few review that says the leaves when smoking can give weed-like effect. keke
