hi everybody, happy new year! first time posting here, need some pointers from you all. i've been rescuing and taking care of cats around my taman for a few years, budget getting tight nowadays so looking for a budget cat food, cheap but fairly good quality. i used buttons and bows, now to equilibro since the petshop owner recommend me for it. is this brand ok? how about royal canin fit 32? i think they are similar in pricing. rest of the brands available at my place are much more expensive

QUOTE(Mrsaitama @ Jan 1 2017, 06:58 PM) Rc is exp imo for stray cats, go seek in lazada, use voucher can get more cheap. 1kg=rm20-25 is my budget. i don't mind the price as long as good enough quality food.

QUOTE(Shinka @ Jan 20 2017, 01:44 PM) We need more ppl like you, thumbs up! =) RC is kinda expensive nowadays, have you considered blackwood? hi Shinka, thanks a lot, i don't think i do much. just trying my best. well for my own cats they are on equilibrio+canned food, while the ones around my taman are on buttons and bows with canned food also. actually i just met 2 vets saying that they had quite a few cases of cats with kidney stones from regular blackwood diet. i was like 'u serius ah?'

from what ive been told, kidney stone issues come from food with high salt concentration. cheap generic cat food brands and even some premium brands tend to have high salt numbers. they use salt to enhance the food taste, just like how we humans put salt in our cooking and food.
