Hi, does anyone know where is the cheapest place to spay/neuter cat? My two cats suddenly on heat and meowing non stop. Its problematic for me as i live in apartment. Last time there is one at setapak, but now they move. My area is melawati. Ty

I just use regular clumping type litter available at pet store.
*
fussie cat or any brand in particular?
i think everclean is a tad too heavy. everytime i try to sift it, feels very heavy and a lot of clean litter goes to waste (even slowly sift it)

review (tiba2):
if u guys wanna search for a good litter (and u guys didnt use smartsift), everclean is the best. no smell, very good clumping, one box can last me up till 1 month (2 cats)

how much is everclean? i never noticed it in any petshop.
*
i bought ard 65rm per box. previously i use fussie cat litter. normally 1 month will need ard 3 packs. cost me ard the same as everclean.

another short review:
what i like about everclean (or dislike about fussie cat)
1. i dont like the strong smell of fussie cat litter.
2. fussie cat: got a lot of debu when scooping. everclean only few debu.
3. if you dont clean it frequently (i lazy), fussie cat start smelly within 2 days. ever clean 3,4 days still ok.
4. everclean clumping is very strong. very easy to scoop out. fussie cat sometime when i scoop, the clumping crumble.

but...... everclean is very heavy. i dont think its suitable for smartsift cry.gif

Make sure you only fills or top up slightly below the marker (line). Otherwise it can easily overflow when you "sift" the sand. I think you feels heavy because you put too much in the smartsift.

I usually gently pull & push the handle, like shaking it to make sure most of the clean litter go into the compartment before pulling the handle all the way.

yep. i fill it below the line. but the litter still too heavy. and you are correct, easily overflow. waste a lot of clean sand sad.gif

Hehehe..  I used smartsift for 2yrs now. Cheaper litter = more dust.

How long u had use smartsift?
*
around 2 weeks. xmas present for my cats (for myself, tired of scooping for over 3yrs biggrin.gif)
may i know what litter did u use?

The brand i use all varies, whichever petshop sell cheap i'll take that.

Your sand tray the holder do you lock it before you pour new sand? Please note that when u pour, the sand shall not be pour into filter. If not, even you fill below the line also abit too much.
Another thing is when u turn the tray, turn it slowly and gently. If u happen to sift, the clump still stuck at the bottom ignore it. When u sift again later, it will come out. Dont bother to use the scoop out. Your scoop can throw it off. I never need the scoop after i use smartsift.

this is my problem for the overflowing. goddemmit. my pasir go into the filter.

Not in my opinion. I don't prefer "automatic" boxes since poop is a great indicator of health, and the general rule is you should have (number of cats)+1 litterboxes.
*
its true. but im too tired to clean multiple boxes (got 2 cats, 2 litterbox sad.gif ).
with smartsift, at least i only scoop one manual box instead of two. and automate the smartsift one.

half the work, im happy cat owner already.
