guys I found this kitten in my basement carpark, it is there every single day, hungry and meowing for food. I'm worried it may be run over by a car or something. I'm giving it food everyday but I can't keep this up. It's meowing very pitifully every day - most likely hungry. In the afternoon, it will sleep under the car with nowhere to go. Anyone can adopt or help? Location at Tropicana City Mall - Petaling Jaya. Please pm me if any of you would like to rescue the kitten. Thanks. Hi all, I just bought a scottish fold kitten (14/2/2015) Male, 3 months, vaccinated and microchipped. Imported from Taiwan. I bought the kitten at RM4100, (with official papers and full receipt from Pets Safari, Ikano) However, it was an impulsive decision and now I kinda regretted the big splurge and my parents are against the idea of having a cat. Willing to take a loss of RM600. (so selling at RM3500) Will free 1 full bag (4kg) of Royal Canin Kitten Food as well. Anyone whos interested, please let me know. I would like to advise all NEVER buy any cats from Ikano Pet Safari. The idiot (Ricky - old chinese dude with cap) who sold me a kitten told me all sort of lies, etc.
Brought the kitten home and he came down with ringworm and had severe diarrhea for a couple of days.
Went there 2 weeks ago, saw a very cute round scottish fold. Went there last night, the scottish fold was still there but with severe eye infection and a very severe case of ringworm on the face. Told Ricky about it and you know what he said? He said the eye was due to playing with other kittens, and that this kitten is very rare and I should buy it ASAP.
Absolutely unethical and he has no love whatsoever for any pets. I feel really sorry for that scottish fold right now, last I saw, she was very weak and hiding by herself in the corner.
Btw they are selling their cats (scottish folds) at RM4000 per cat. I bought mine home, and within 3 days, the ears stood up.

QUOTE(retroRT @ Jan 1 2017, 04:00 PM) hi everybody, happy new year! first time posting here, need some pointers from you all. i've been rescuing and taking care of cats around my taman for a few years, budget getting tight nowadays so looking for a budget cat food, cheap but fairly good quality. i used buttons and bows, now to equilibro since the petshop owner recommend me for it. is this brand ok? how about royal canin fit 32? i think they are similar in pricing. rest of the brands available at my place are much more expensive We need more ppl like you, thumbs up! =) RC is kinda expensive nowadays, have you considered blackwood? QUOTE(retroRT @ Jan 20 2017, 07:01 PM) hi Shinka, thanks a lot, i don't think i do much. just trying my best. well for my own cats they are on equilibrio+canned food, while the ones around my taman are on buttons and bows with canned food also. actually i just met 2 vets saying that they had quite a few cases of cats with kidney stones from regular blackwood diet. i was like 'u serius ah?' Speaking of kidney stones and UTI, for some reason cats on premium grain-free dry food like Orijen, Acana, Wellness Core tends to get UTI more often than cats on "average" food like Royal Canin. Can anyone clarify this? I have few friends with cats on Orijen and Wellness Core that they say gets UTI more often. Is it due to the higher protein content?

QUOTE(basilisk @ Apr 30 2019, 08:58 PM) good ornot.. actually depends on ur cat.. if ur cat refuse to eat it.. lol.. origen - claimed to be one of the best pet kibble, made in canada by champions pet food. so popular tht nestle is offering millions to buy it. so far they claim they are not selling it. currently my hse cats r testing acana.. orijen/acana claim - made in house frm their own facility, so they can quality control everything. many other food is just a brand name. the food is made by a contract factory. Is acana better than royal canin? I know rc has abit of grain in their products but their level of protein is lower than either orijen or acana. If I feed my cats orijen (high protein kibble), is it likely that they get UTI or kidney disease? (too much protein)

QUOTE(kizwan @ May 1 2019, 02:05 AM) I have two outdoor cats that got FLUTD but both recovered with change in diet. Their diets are kibbles & small animal. Well I assumed they do hunt. They both gone now unrelated to flutd. So far no cats in my care that their diet 100% canned food, get flutd. So far a couple of cats in my care that their diet is moistened food (kibbles + canned food mixed), got FLUTD but all recovered with medicine. Looks like it is only crystals because they all are not completely blocked. So far more than a couple of cats in my care that their diet is kibbles, got FLUTD & died. All of them completely blocked. My vet did perform "emergency discharge" & prescribe medicine but all not survived. just wondering, those cats that got FLUTD on kibbles, what brand were you using? Certain brands such as friskies contain high levels of sodium and colouring I think.
