I'm wondering am I feeding my cat too much? I feed him twice a day with this cup. Used to be full cup, now I reduce to maybe 4/5 of the cup. At night I'll feed him 2 tea spoon of tuna as well.

It's easy. If your cat is not overweight, then your cat is not overfeed. Cat like to eat a little at a time but frequently. Basically, they eat, they play, they poop, they eat, they sleep, they eat, they play, they eat.....  biggrin.gif

Wet food is different story of course. Cats will clean out the plate in just one sitting.  biggrin.gif
It's hot season anyway. Cats can be more sensitive than us human. They will drink more. Everyday I usually need to refill one drinking bowl twice a day but currently I need to refill two bowls twice a day (evening & early morning).

2 - 3 days? That's quick. Too quick. Worst case scenario should be a week. How many cats share the litter box? Maybe adding another litter box, you know, splitting the load.
*
That's weird, my cat always finish all the food in one serving disregard of biscuit or wet food. Haven't got a weight machine to weight him but I think he is gaining weight since I adopted him 2 months ago.

Guys, is there any reason why my cat meow so frequent? He can meow for like 10 min non stop, stop a while, then continue. It's a bit noisy especially he likes to meow in the morning (5-6am) /late night after I off the lights. It's a siamese mixed btw.

my cat always pee on my bean bag (for the past 1 year+) sad.gif Any solution to this? I think for some reason he has a fetish towards the beanbag. Used to pee on sofa as well but he stopped.

how many litterboxes do you have? how often do you clean them? do you use enzymatic cleaner on your sofa and beanbag?
*
What is enzymatic cleaner?

I have one big litter box for 2 cats, clean it twice a day (once if i forgotten in the morning blush.gif ). He only pee on the beanbag, and sometimes the basin, which is super weird.

Enzymatic cleaner is a specific kind of cleaner that breaks down the compounds in animal pee and poop so they don't pee/poop in the area again. Cleaning it with bleach or regular soap is not enough.

the general rule is number of cats + 1 litter boxes, so you should have three. Two at minimum, for two cats.

Have you taken the cat to the vet to rule out medical problems?
*
used to have 2 but seems like they prefer the litter box that is fully covered. Don't think he's sick, he is just obsessed with my bean bag. if i hide it then he wont cincai pee everywhere.

Anyway will drop by pet shop and look for enzymatic cleaner and see if it works. thanks a lot!!

I use Smartsift for almost 4 years & my cats don't have problem using it.

Regarding the smell, are you referring the smell in general or the poop still smell even after buried? I did tried Oko Plus but it was two years ago.
*
oh yeah smartsift is awesome. been using it for 2yrs+. Just few questions though, do you close the door? And how frequent you clear the plastic bag?

I'm wondering is it possible to train my cat to enter litter box that has a door? My cats seem like don't know / don't want to enter if i close the litter box's door. The door is transparent.

Your cat should be able to learn how to enter with the door. When they really need to go, they'll try to push the door.
*
really? cause i saw them sniffing the door, and turn away

depends on ur budget..
u wana flush down toilet?
wana be more environmental frenly?

in summary, if u got $$$ silica is best. cat oso like.
save money but  not environ frenly, clay litter, can find cheapest.
flushasble litter like corn, soy type are $$$ more than silica.
pine pellet for me is messy n alot hard work, u can tanam the pine dust..
*
money is not exactly a concern. any idea where i can get decent silica one? Another concern is can it use with smartsift? Thanks!

anyone deal with flea problem before? I've been using frontline spray and it seems like not helping at all. Sent to vet and it was fine for first week and it's all back again.

Suspect there's a big nest at home, so anyone know any good strategy to clean house/hunt for their egg spots?

Had the same experience with the spray. Then I try the pipettes (Bayer Advantage), on all of my cats at the same time. Vacuum everyday for a few days. Done. Now no more fleas.

An alternative, type 'ubat kutu' on Shopee.
*
do you vacuum whole house or just certain area? i wonder do they hide underneath sofa or not as there are tiny gaps.

pipettes (Bayer Advantage) is the drops type? I actually tried frontline spot-on combo on one of my cat because he's so afraid of the spray. don't seem to work that well as well cry.gif

I recently added wood pellet cat litter for my cats, and I think they dont know how to use it and still goes back to their old poop box. Is that normal?

I tried once, scoped some poop and place it in the new litter box and seems like not working as well.
