QUOTE(soR @ May 22 2019, 03:05 PM) You used it to clean away cats spray/marking? For you how effective is it? does your cat smells it again and remark or anything like that? 1 tablet + 500ml of water? (for flooring/walls?) Do you spray and straight wipe it away with a cloth or let it sit for sometime and wipe it away? thanks for replying! Yes. It won't mark the spot again, unless if there's an underlying issue with the cats. I'm also using it to mop the floor, clean the vomit/hairballs, most of the household cleaning.I use 1 tablet + 500ml spray bottle. It's suggested 1 tablet + 1litre, depends on your preference. If you want weaker concentration, use more water. But even if mixed with 500ml, the smell isn't that strong. Smells/functions like Clorox but milder and safer. Most of the time I straight wipe away after spraying. But if I'm spraying the cage or near litter boxes, I let it dry by itself. Just my personal experience. EDIT - Just to be clear, this is obviously not meant to stop cat pissing outside the litter box, but more of a cleaning solution. You should still send the cats to a vet if the problem reoccurs. QUOTE(stryfox @ Jun 10 2019, 03:46 PM) kitten died due to FPV. sad. be careful everyone. Can't vaccinate a sick cat. So you can try Himalaya Immunol -can anyone share experience how to save other kittens? https://shopee.com.my/search?keyword=immuno...=0&sortBy=price https://himalayapets.online/products/immunol/ Better you check local pet store/vet clinic and give them asap rather than buy online. If there's no cats dying in a month or two after the last death, it's considered safe already, at least that's what my vet said. If they survive, vaccinate them. |

QUOTE(adrian72 @ Oct 18 2019, 09:54 AM) Need some advice. I adopted an adult male cat back in March. Have been feeding him dry food from the start but in the last 2 months, I have added 1 feeding of canned/wet food every day. Sounds like UTI. How often do you clean the litter box since dirty litter box can be a reason he got it. Also, always provide a bowl of water.2 days ago, I noticed that he was sitting in the litter box for a long time. He would return to it a few times and leave no urine. I suspect he may be having blocked urethra. I did find urine in the box in the next morning and he was back to his normal self. Yesterday, there was urine in the box and he seems ok. He did however pee on my bean bag last night. 1. Is there anything I can feed him as a preventive measure? 2. I heard that treatment can be very expensive. Can some one recommend me a good vet that is not too expensive? 1. Go to the vet first. They usually will give Himalaya Nefrotec for UTI. EDIT: I think I misunderstood. This is medication, not food. QUOTE(hutazi @ Dec 30 2019, 02:49 PM) unless you want to raise a litter of kittens. get the cats neutered. the male is old enough to get it done, the female maybe in the next month. Speechless, kenot brain, facepalm, everything in one lah. otherwise the cats will always be banging it out and you will have a big family to take care of. and if you seperate them or dont let them mate, they will both be MROOOOOOWWW MROOOOOOWWW MROOOOOWWWW morning till night for action. lol. so fun to go around every corner of furniture, walls, etc with UV light and wipe it down hahah. |

QUOTE(CarroTT @ Dec 30 2019, 08:46 PM) I m asking bout how to calm down the kitties from fighting.... why all toking bout breeding?.... all must spay cat before can discuss here ker?... Ahaha. Just so we're clear, I'm responding bcoz of how ridiculous your statement was. This one (the bolded part):QUOTE(CarroTT @ Dec 30 2019, 12:30 PM) Doesn't mind me. As long they don't fight i m ok. We're not talking about cleaning the litter box ok? We're talking about male cats kencing merata2, outside the litter box. Paham x?Cleaning is a responsibility when we have pets, just like having children. Spay/neuter is one of the way to prevent that from happening. By the time it started happening, it might be too late, bcoz it will be a habit for your cat like kizwan mentioned. Kucing u kencing merata ingat senang ke nak detect? Oklah, maybe senang for you, got expensive UV light kan. But then, rajin ke you nak suluh satu rumah nak check which area of your house yang kucing u dah 'spray'? (Unless if you're staying in a small studio, then, whatever I guess) Ridikulus btul la. Sorry got no time la to type full english. Mods pls understand. P/s - Also, please don't breed cats if you're thinking of doing it. |

QUOTE(Seager @ Jan 5 2020, 01:51 PM) Hi everyone Can try this if other vets can't offer solution - https://shopee.com.my/search?keyword=himalaya%20canisepMay I seek your advice please.. I have a 6 year old domestic mid/ long haired ginger female, adopted as a stray from when she was just a couple months old. She's been fully indoor ever since, and only exposure to the outdoors would be during her visits to the vet - or whenever we have visitors at home (she's easily scared and thus usually hides in my room) She had flea infection once, a couple years back - which was cured with Advantage spot on + diatomaceous earth powder. She probably caught fleas through me, as I used to take care of a couple of other strays within the area too.. I've since taken care of the flea issue and she's been flea free since. She broke her leg once probably 3 years ago, whilst running around at home. Brought her to the vet, all good and she was up and running in a couple weeks. Though, she picked up ringworm - I would assume she caught this at the vet itself, likely through the clippers used to trim her fur. I showered her frequently with Malaseb, and used medication provided by the vet to rid of Ringworm and she's been good since. In early October 2019 - she had her regular scheduled annual vaccination. To which we made the dreaded trip to the vet. Vet determined she was all in good health, provided vaccination and we brought her home. HOWEVER, this is where things started to get really...itchy A couple days after the vet visit, she started to itchy and was offen seen scratching using her hind legs, excessive licking of the bottom half of her body and nibbling (biting) herself. Mid October, I applied Advantage again, and started to shower her with Malaseb as well as powering her with DE just to be sure it wasn't another infection. Fast forward to mid-December, I started to notice bald patches at her hind regions, legs, and smaller bald patches on her ears. There were wounds (or scaly skin) due to her excessively licking and biting herself but did not look like ringworm. Seeing no improvement, I brought her back to the vet and they confirmed it wasn't ringworm but instead fur mites (mange?). They also reconfirmed by gut assumption that she could have picked this up at the vet during her last visit (which is why I dread bringing her to the vet). She was prescribed Frontline & Broadline spot on (seems Advantage doesn't work for mites). I've applied the necessary spot on, whilst dusting her bald areas with DE since.. but as of today, I do not yet see any improvement. She still itches, and lately I've noticed that she has been increasingly licking and biting her ankles - more scaly skin and bald patches. I've applied another dose of Frontline a couple of days back and still dust her scaly skin regions with DE but nothing seems to be working. What should I do? I've ordered Machiko shampoo and some sulfur bar soap online that should be arriving next week. Should I stop DE? Because all she seems to do is lick the power off the dusted areas. I'll probably give her a shower with the sulfur soap next week and apply Broadline spot on a couple days later. In the meantime, your advise is much appreciated. Thank you. Edit: located in Selayang/ Kepong btw - so if you have recommended vets that could help with this issue, please suggest as well. It's my go-to product if my cats got any skin problems. Not sure if it will help your case or not. |
