well, compared to pokemon yellow, i feel the trainer battles and the rival battles in pokemon diamond are much easier. plus, the pokemon the character's rival use are kinda weak in my opinion. but then again, thts what i get for levelling up my pokemon too fast. lol. gonna make a pokemon team entirely out of sinnoh pokemon. so far already have torterra and luxrey....

my lv40 lapras still doesnt know surf..

erm, go safari zone, go until a house at the end there, grab the hm03 inside the house, and teach it to your lapras, so it will learn suft

The house at K, go inside and talk to the guy or have a ball that, don't remember clearly

any tips for quick level up in firered??

don't thing so, i just keep battle those guy that i think have the most exp over and over again, or if you strong enough, just equip exp share to the pokemon you wat to level up, and go fight E4 as much as you want, or use rare candy that you pick up with your meowth or other pokemon that have pick up ability

but there is a limit of using rare candy. after a number of rare candies, it cant be used on a pokemon anymore.

can sumone show me how to get HM04??

get the golden teeth from safari zone, go to a house at that city, and talk to the safari zone owner to give him back his teeth, then you will get strength

You're thinking of HP Up, Calcium, Carbos, Iron etc.....

Rare Candies can be used as much as you like on a single Pokemon.

Of course...in every game you don't get a lot of them :/ so you can't really use Rare Candies a lot anyway...

I've used lots of great balls, dusk balls, timer balls and all of my 10 ultra balls... n i still cant catch it!!! *roar*
for those who caught it.. care to share which type of pokeball is best to use to catch it???

is there a way out after fighting them??
lost to gary soooo many time edy...

just use all your money, don't keep any of them, since even if you lose you only lost half of them, and nothing much, except some happiness or do the hardcore style, like me, train at wild slowly until level 100, one by one, ev level them as well

Added on August 29, 2008, 10:05 ambe patient grasshopper, you will catch it eventually, i just use pokeball to catch, just keep tracking it hp, and you will catch it in no time

Quick Balls (but you only got a few turns to use it before it loses its effectiveness.....)

Dusk Balls (4x catch rate at night and caves..and since your battle takes place inside a cave....typically this is the best ball for catching legendaries since most of the legendary battles save for Cresselia take place in caves, so stock up a lot of it)

Ultra Balls (not as effective as Dusk Balls....but useful nonetheless if you do run out of Dusk Balls.)

And of course lots of patience. Status effects such as Sleep help increase the catch rate. Of course, save before the battle. :/

If you're really unlucky with your catching attempts, your battle can eventually go all the way to the point that the legendary Struggles itself to death, but that rarely happens la....
