Today, I went to 3rd Mile Square to attend a meeting. This is my second visit to the place. I arrived around 10:56am and press for parking ticket. I remembered the time because first, I always have the habit to look at the ticket time and then my phone time to estimate parking fee and time to leave . Second, also because my boss gave me a call around the time. Parking rate for 1st hour in 3rd Mile Square is Rm2 and subsequently RM1.

At around 12:20pm I finished meeting and left, which I assumed is RM3. Upon giving ticket to one rude Indian ticket collector at exit (around 12:33pm), he told me RM4. I asked him why additional RM1, he didn't explain but demanded RM4:grumble: . I calculated on the spot and told him it should be RM3. He asked what time i entered so I said 11am and so asked him to refer to ticket. He annoyingly took a ticket out of nowhere and shown me "masuk 10am la!" I was pretty sure that wasn't my ticket but as I did not snap a photo of my ticket earlier on, it seems futile to argue with such barbarian who apparently trying to earn "extra money".

I got so embarassed and angry at the same time, but as many cars were waiting behind the line, I reluctantly paid RM4. I am writing here not to demand back my RM1, but just a kind sharing to all 3rd Mile Square patrons. In the future when you get your ticket, snap a photo to prove your entry time. You don't want to encounter the same unpleasant cheating by you-duno-what-sort-of-people-management hired. If you are lucky, you might get cheated a ringgit, if you are unlucky........

i don't want to be accusing, but I initially saw the time on ticket is 10:56am. i thought all parkings start with the printed time.

memang thats their system bro... my parents always go there for breakfast in weekends...it always RM 4 per entry...maybe u can have a look at the entry price before complaining.

You are not alone. My friend and I went there, park less than 2 hours, the Indian guy charge us RM4. That time my friend driving, I didn't aware how much he paid, after he paid he asked me why so expensive? I say, 'huh RM4? You kena cheated already.' The Indian guy charged extra masuk his own pocket.

My case more serious, i went to HSBC bank there to make credit card payment. When i left, i pass my parking ticket to the 2 indian. Then he told me RM 3.20. What the fxxx, i remember they giving grace period to customer because there is a HSBC bank there.

Then i told them i just come to HSBC for awhile only, they said i m over grace period, said grace period just 10 mins, i m already 11 mins, have to charge RM 3.20 per hour. Then i fed up and shout them tat just come in awhile only.

Then behind got car queing, i pay rm 3.50 to him. Then i said, "RECEIPT MARI!", then they shock and mumbling there, then print receipt with RM 3.20 back to me and refuse talk to me anymore.

I left then i double check my receipt is just 10 mins duration there. I think they doing hanky panky job and think people wont ask for receipt to check.

you are not the first. i too had a meeting with some friends there one evening. we all reached the same time and left the same time. all of us paid RM2 except for one of this blur sotong friend that paid RM10. he only told us when he reach home and the smart thing was he didnt collect the receipt.

why make life difficult? get a receipt and claim from office.

you should've held your ground, but you relented. This tells the parking attendant that his method works.

I parked on the street around the Tan Chong workshop in Section 13 Petaling Jaya at 7 pm on a weekend. Bloody parking attendants try to collect RM7 from me. I tell them I ain't paying a single cent because this is public parking and then I walked off.

Seriously, if you guys don't want to kena conned, don't allow yourself to be conned!
