new patch... still the same game. ancient item is basically just a lazy design so we have more same stuffs to farm with higher stats. what's next? grandfather ancient items with higher stats than ancient items so prolong the game longevity?
DH got redesigned because it's not the "way" to play the game for dev. Barb got redesigned because someone complains that barb drags all the mobs away and he can't keep it up and has nothing to kill - so dev says ok, nerf it and let barb join the 3000% dmg party!
so you have +1018 exp gear... t6 gives you 1600% which means multiply by 16.. so you get 16k exp.. let say you kill another 1 million mob (you have killed a total of 6 million mobs now - nothing personal, just for an example).. you gain 16b exp.. which is not even 1 paragon level at 750+.. great!
not to mention with the introduction of ancient items (MOAR STATS!), the +5 main stats on each paragon level is very very insignificant.
the devs are just lazy or simply put diablo 3 isn't a game that generate revenue for them to care much.
will people still be playing and enjoy the game? sure, at least we have something new to farm, but nothing really to be excited for.
that's very negative way of seeing things. although i agree to most of your points, i choose to think like this:
ancient item = great! finally some gears that can be real upgrade.
skill changes in DH - emm i don't play DH. i heard it's pretty engaging...
skill changes in Barb - personally, i like it, i party with Reakor barb before... so...
skill changes in monk - good, more ways to play.
+xp scale with game difficulties - it's a bonus! even if this shorten my xp farming for 5%, that's awesome!
ancient items diluted the value of paragon point - well, i still prefer having ancient items than having none
something new to farm, incremental patch = exciting news for me, we've been sitting on 2.1 for 3 months now, it's getting old...
2.1 to 2.1.2 should be just a minor patch... good to see some good stuff.
on related news, haven't heard much from the senior dev such as Josh, Travis and Wyatt. they could be enjoying their holiday, or (again positive thinking

) are working on Expansion 2!
