i like it as well, but its sort of an unnecessary usage of GPU resource imo

some things we dont notice much during heat of gaming, texture wise, unless its really bad textures or im actively looking for it, its not noticeable to me

In their defense, Nvidia did say that the 960 is meant for those still on the 460/560 and 560Ti. Yes, consumer's money then it's the consumers right to buy what they want. But Nvidia never did say the 960 was a 770 replacement.

960 represents nearly twice the performance upgrade from a 560Ti. So that's the target. It's just too bad the 960 is being priced so close to the 970 and that has lead people to compare the 960 to being a 770 replacement.
It's a classic Nvidia pricing F'up.

i need some opinion about gtx 960
is the 128 bit is going to survive in the next 2 years or maybe only 1 year.
currently have budget about below RM900 so im confuse to go either 960 or r9 280.
also since some game are sided with nvidia so im very confuse(example like project cars, nvidia card perform a lot better then radeon)

Guys, need some opinion, currently my zotac gtx760 reference design still at rma service (over a month already ). Im thinking whether or not I should buy a new gc. I was thinking bout gtx960. I know in term of performance I wont get any significant difference over my current gc, however what bothered me was my gtx760 always hit 80-81c on load, and the fan speed was already at 100%. I set the fan speed manually to spin at 100% when it reaches 75'c but it wont stop the temperature from climbing to 80-81c. What sux bout it was when it hit 80c and above, my gc will clock down itself. So I was thinking is it worth it to change to gtx960 for a better performance and cooling? Im dilemma whether to choose Asus gtx960 strix or zotac gtx960 amp!. My budget is less than 1k. Im interested to try Asus for the first time, how is Asus warranty do? Faster rma service? And final question is, should I care about the smaller 128bit memory bus on the gtx960?

MSI's GTX 980Ti Gaming 6G (man what name...) finally has a backplate.

Zotac has always had backplate, nothing new there.

MSI Gaming series of 970/980 didn't. 
Good news then, because MSI is releasing a 980Ti with the reference cooler but with upgraded components. So it's using the same caps and PWM from its Gaming series. Selling for the same price, but I'm not sure which model will make it here.

Another great thing about reference cards is that it will always have a wider range of compatibility with waterblocks.

Hi Sifus, should I wait for next gen GC or buy 970? For now I'm using ATI 5850 & it still can run all the latest games smoothly @ lowest setting. would like to get a new GC for ARK.

On my end, I have 2 choices.

- Run the game at 1440p, 30fps locked and forced triple-buffered with RTSS
- Run the game at 1080p, 50-55fps variable.
If I'm going to run it at 30fps, I might as well just play on the PS4 and don't have to worry about anything else, other than the rather poor fps variance when driving (not like the PC is doing much better). The amount of graphical options that are missing on the PC is just dumb (yet Nvidia advertise them as being available with Gameworks enabled).

So yeah... PC users got the finger this time.

take other card which far better like evga or giga g1 gaming. msi
