650USD.There's a preorder by local retailers at RM2500, which suggested that the 650USD may just be the right one.

QUOTE(uzary @ May 31 2015, 10:51 PM) Guys, need some opinion, currently my zotac gtx760 reference design still at rma service (over a month already 80c at 100% fan speed do sound pretty ridiculous. You tried repaste and clean it before?Since now it is at RMA, you can either wait for it come back and see if they helped you solved it. If not then you can consider a new card or 3rd party GPU cooler. GTX960 really don't sound like a big upgrade to GTX760 apart from the recent kepler gimping fiasco. If I am you, I will rather save more till budget enough for a GTX970. Or worse come to worse, wait till Nvidia's Pascal is launched then only decide. Nvidia's tradition is to launch a low mid end card with new architecture first. Combined with die shrink and new architecture, who knows GTX1050TI (?) may be just as powerful as GTX960 for a cheaper price? As for RMA service of warranty, I place my bad that 9/10 people here will tell you it sucks, while another 1 had yet tried with it. For the memory bus, it isn't much of a big concern for the time being (pardon me as my knowledge on DX12 improvement is pretty limited, not sure the effect of bus width on it). GTX960 is designed for such a bus width as Nvidia is confident with their Maxwell (another thing is Nvidia is always pretty "cheapskate" and limited, they rarely give you overkill or "futureproof" specifications be it low end to high end), so in short it won't bother much or any. Another concern on 960 is the 2GB vs 4GB. For a mid end card, 2GB is still the more optimized one. Any settings which require higher than 2GB VRAM are usually result in bad sub 30FPS also, no point pump it that high. This post has been edited by Human10: May 31 2015, 11:27 PM |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Jun 1 2015, 04:13 PM) ^Pretty much. LOL, it is pretty impossible to sell of 2 970 and get back the cash enough for 980TI. Even the launching retail price already say some story (650 bucks vs 2X 330bucks).SLI hasn't really been that great for many games that came out in 2014 and so far in 2015 as well. The hitching is... terrible. It's the whole reason why I'm playing Witcher 3 with just a single 970 on a 1080p TV, instead of 1440p. Downsampling is even worse lol... All due to stuttering, despite having a reported average of 60fps. Hopefully can sell off both 970s and don't have to top up for a 980Ti (which would be humiliating). Except may be your 970 is high segment and you plan to settle for the cheapest 980TI available. This post has been edited by Human10: Jun 1 2015, 07:27 PM |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Jun 4 2015, 01:51 PM) Technically, it's cheaper to import the 980Ti from Amazon than to buy at the retail shops, for now. Even with tax and priority shipping, doesn't even reach 3k lol. Pretty much expected.Problem is, out of stock everywhere. What's worse will be if AMD's fiji really failed to detrone TitanX/980TI in term of specs/price, get ready for a "unofficial" price hike. |

QUOTE(shikimori @ Jun 4 2015, 08:38 PM) Just out of curiosity why are you guys selling GTX 970 ? Its a decent card I mean Theoretically, 980TI is not too overpriced but in fact some bang for bucks. It's performance is close to 970SLI.980ti is damn overpriced For me I'm cutting down on gaming time and multi gpu setup just doesnt cut out for me. But practically, it will be overpriced for being rare (supply and demand), and also local distributor's jackup and GST. |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Jun 4 2015, 09:00 PM) Bound to happen. I don't expect the 390x to beat the 980ti, but I hope it is priced at 980's point but perform close to the 980ti. That would at least ensure the 980Ti's price, but considering how fast it is being sold out (less than 24 hours lol!), means ppl are still richer than they say. Again, I don't really expect a new architecture with new RAM and bundled with AIO to be priced below 650USD.If you mean the Hawaii refresh, may be they can offer some competitive price for that. As for it is sold out, yeah, the demand is sure there. There's people who eying on 980TI ever since the launch of 980, so it's no surprise. But on the other hand, many people still on the speculators side to decide only after AMD new cards are launched, those are the people which will jack up the demand and market price later. QUOTE(S4PH @ Jun 7 2015, 05:11 PM) 80 DEGRESS under full load normal bro, i use to own a zotac 970 80 degress all the time when gaming thats very good already Using Zotac here too.I do find that they should optimize the fan profile a little. It is too easy to reach 80C yet the fan still under low RPM. But of course still prefer they cap the fan speed below 80% max. Anything more than that start sounds like a jet engine... QUOTE(S4PH @ Jun 8 2015, 10:09 AM) can sound like jet engine Yup, mine same model. Try crank up the fan speed to over 90% and you know what a jet sounds like I not sure if it start throttle at 80C but it is the fan profile of the card to hit 80C that easily. If given choice, I will prefer crank up the fan speed to keep it sub80. |

QUOTE(S4PH @ Jun 8 2015, 05:05 PM) I played shadow of mordor 4 hours straight max was 80 degrees, u have nothing to worry, it's a superb gpu Bro just the vram issue but not many games make use of all the 3.5 @1080p. I prefer bios level of fan control feel lazy and somewhat paranoid running GPU software like Afterburner or Firestorm behind my game...why don't u make ur own fan profile using msi afterburner |

QUOTE(ngkhanmein @ Jun 8 2015, 10:34 PM) ![]() In what way do Intel's next gen CPU affecting your choice on a GPU? As for the 2SMM disabled, don't tell me you expecting NVIDIA to launch 980TI with a full specs of TitanX and cost 350USD less, not? If completely full specs of TitanX, later OEMs start tweak their cards and come out with 12GB VRAM version, and it will be officially a Titan killer with better price, better performance and better cooling... QUOTE(ngkhanmein @ Jun 9 2015, 02:48 PM) i think u better get R9 380 4GB around GTX 960 price. Bro, you so fast poke?R9 390 8GB / R9 390X 8GB already beat GTX 970. recently nvidia driver really not stable. With prevoius AMD pricing track records, I highly doubt a _80 series will cost under 1k... RM700 for 960 is a steal. |

QUOTE(Beouwulf @ Jun 9 2015, 02:14 PM) Thinking of buying this ZOTAC GeForce GTX 960 (ZT-90310-10M), at RM699, I think its a much better deal than 750Ti OC, but it only has 1 fan. I wonder if the single fan is sufficient for cooling the GTX960? Go ahead, with free game, it is a no brainer at RM700. |

QUOTE(ngkhanmein @ Jun 9 2015, 03:16 PM) recently fed up with nvidia driver. 960 got support DX12 or not? the nvidia guy didn't mention GTX 960 support DX12.1 but maybe DX12 onl y i guess LOL...watch 15:30 onwards But theoretically, GTX960 is just as same as its other Maxwell big brothers from 970 all the way to TX. Unless Nvidia purposely/"accidentally"/"unwillingly" limiting it, GTX960 should get what his big brothers will get too. This post has been edited by Human10: Jun 9 2015, 03:46 PM |
