hi all..
to those of you Note series die hard fans, and those who own both Note3 and Note 4, or use to have Note 4 before upgrade to Note 3.. i would like to share some opinions especially regarding the s-pen
for me, the main reason why i get myself a Note 4 was because i want to have better writing experience using the S-pen, as samsung said that it is twice better than Note 3.. because even using Note 3, the note taking experience is not as convenience as i imagine.. so i wish using note 4 i can really utilize the note taking utility.. when i first got my Note 4, indeed i feel the s-pen is more smooth and accurate.. feeling happy, my Note 3 was left behind most of times, that i already consider to sell it off..
but i did test s-pen cross devices between Note 3 and Note 4 because i'm still having both.. and i found (or i think) that what makes the different is actually the S-pen itself, but maybe not the Wacom panel on the screen itself.. i'll try to describe here..
Using Note3's S-pen to write, you need to push the tip a bit to a certain level then only the writing came out properly.. if you don't push or push too lightly, the writing might not appear or become very light (it is a pressure sensitive pen).. so while using it to write, i need to maintain that certain pressure on the tip, and sometime when i lose that maintained pressure, my writing might not appear for some letter.. for me its quite cumbersome because i'm a type of person who write very lightly using a pen (original pen), lazy writer type.. lol.. i normally dont push pen tip too hard against paper..
Using Note4's S-pen, the writing is immediately recognised when the tip of the pen touch the screen.. so this give user impression of smoothness and more responsiveness, induce the feeling that it is easier to write.. at the same it is still a pressure sensitive pen, if you push harder, the writing become more bold..
but then just out of curiosity, i took the Note4's S-pen and use it on my Note3.. to my surprise, i have similar feeling of writing as on my Note 4.. then i took the Note 3 pen and use it on my Note 4, i have the similar feeling as writing on my Note 3.. (if you get what i mean).. so, i think the difference is on the S-pen itself, but the Wacom panel underneath the screen is the same?? i think the accuracy is similar on both device, its just the writing experience improved using the Note4's S-pen..
this makes me think, if any of you guys out there who think want to upgrade to Note 4 because of the pen, why don't you just go and buy Note-4's S-pen only, instead? i've asked Samsung outlet, the S-pen is only RM109.. so can save your one thousand bucks

is there anyone ever done similar test, having similar or different opinion? please share..
after having Note 4 for more than a month, i think there s not much different between Note 3 and Note 4, in terms of functionality, except for the aesthetic design and physical feel which differs, in which Note 4 feels more premium than Note 3.. looking back at my Note 3 today, i still love the design, plus with a touch of gold color also makes the Note 3 looks quite premium.. maybe i'm just a normal user, i don't do fancy stuff anymore with my smartphone (because i'm getting older i guess) but in term of functionality, they are pretty much similar..
