Guys I'm having some major wakelock problem after factory reset my phone
After checking power savings it shows the phone is ALWAYS awake!!??
I believe the problem is with google play services as it has a very high stay awake time. The screenshots are below.

Appreciate help to fix without root
Thanks guys

sometime this happens because Google is trying to restore your backup data and settings.. maybe just let it be for a day or two, unless if it persists then you have to worry, maybe reformat later..

hi all..

to those of you Note series die hard fans, and those who own both Note3 and Note 4, or use to have Note 4 before upgrade to Note 3.. i would like to share some opinions especially regarding the s-pen

for me, the main reason why i get myself a Note 4 was because i want to have better writing experience using the S-pen, as samsung said that it is twice better than Note 3.. because even using Note 3, the note taking experience is not as convenience as i imagine.. so i wish using note 4 i can really utilize the note taking utility.. when i first got my Note 4, indeed i feel the s-pen is more smooth and accurate.. feeling happy, my Note 3 was left behind most of times, that i already consider to sell it off..

but i did test s-pen cross devices between Note 3 and Note 4 because i'm still having both.. and i found (or i think) that what makes the different is actually the S-pen itself, but maybe not the Wacom panel on the screen itself.. i'll try to describe here..

Using Note3's S-pen to write, you need to push the tip a bit to a certain level then only the writing came out properly.. if you don't push or push too lightly, the writing might not appear or become very light (it is a pressure sensitive pen).. so while using it to write, i need to maintain that certain pressure on the tip, and sometime when i lose that maintained pressure, my writing might not appear for some letter.. for me its quite cumbersome because i'm a type of person who write very lightly using a pen (original pen), lazy writer type.. lol.. i normally dont push pen tip too hard against paper..

Using Note4's S-pen, the writing is immediately recognised when the tip of the pen touch the screen.. so this give user impression of smoothness and more responsiveness, induce the feeling that it is easier to write.. at the same it is still a pressure sensitive pen, if you push harder, the writing become more bold..

but then just out of curiosity, i took the Note4's S-pen and use it on my Note3.. to my surprise, i have similar feeling of writing as on my Note 4.. then i took the Note 3 pen and use it on my Note 4, i have the similar feeling as writing on my Note 3.. (if you get what i mean).. so, i think the difference is on the S-pen itself, but the Wacom panel underneath the screen is the same?? i think the accuracy is similar on both device, its just the writing experience improved using the Note4's S-pen..

this makes me think, if any of you guys out there who think want to upgrade to Note 4 because of the pen, why don't you just go and buy Note-4's S-pen only, instead? i've asked Samsung outlet, the S-pen is only RM109.. so can save your one thousand bucks laugh.gif

is there anyone ever done similar test, having similar or different opinion? please share..

after having Note 4 for more than a month, i think there s not much different between Note 3 and Note 4, in terms of functionality, except for the aesthetic design and physical feel which differs, in which Note 4 feels more premium than Note 3.. looking back at my Note 3 today, i still love the design, plus with a touch of gold color also makes the Note 3 looks quite premium.. maybe i'm just a normal user, i don't do fancy stuff anymore with my smartphone (because i'm getting older i guess) but in term of functionality, they are pretty much similar..

Nice review.. but if the pen is the main thing that is of concern then probably what you have reviewed is great... However, I have a few comparison that the difference they felt is the speed of the phone due to the improved processor that have improved on the note series. Some advised that you have the cash to spare and wanted a new phone, an upgrade is encouraged from N3 to N4. So it depends on individual preference. Have you tried the battery test whether it has improved or not...

btw.. again.. thanks for the great review...
*
for me Note 3 performance is ok.. if performance is a concern, i don't feel there is a need to upgrade to Note 4.. maybe because i don't do gaming much..

Yes i agree battery is improved on Note 4, but Note 3 battery is still acceptable.. i normally charge my phone at night, so as long as it can lasts from 7am-7pm its ok for me.. as for the Note 4, i also put it on charge when i'm back home, even if it still have plenty juice left, because i want to make sure it can run from 7-7 the next day.. so it doesn't really affect me.. except for a device like Mediapad X1 which can lasts 3 days for me, then that is a noticeable different for battery life.

I would also like to note that camera also seems to improved a lot on Note 4 (judgement form the eyes of a common user).. so those camera geeks may find it is important.. but for me, not that crucial..

But ya i do agree Note 4 have a lot of improvements compared to previous Note series.. it is still a worthy upgrades for those who have extra thousand buck to spend.. smile.gif

just now dropped my Note 4 on the floor.. auwchh! guess it get mad because i put it on sale, so i took the sale out and decided it stays with me.. laugh.gif

luckily it got a casing today.. but i prefer to have it naked.. whenever i put a casing, it just looks like a Note 3, and loses all the premium feel.. but if it ever drop like that again without casing, sad lo cry.gif dilemma of with-casing vs no-casing

hardly resists myself to get Note 4 bronze gold color sweat.gif

should've get it in the first place instead of this white color.. because when put on casing, it just looks like Note 3.. only the gold color looks different from Note 3.. not trying to show off my note 4 tongue.gif but i want to get "fresh/new" feelings when i get a new device..

currently using my Note 4 naked, but already got 1 small ding at one corner, i don't know how it get there cry.gif

For those who experience lag on recent apps button, someone from xda has finally came up with a fix. The trick is to keep the TalkBack Service disabled (turned off). I have tested on my lollipop and it works like a charm! From 2s to fraction of a second. I am not sure whether it works for everyone but worth trying  smile.gif

lag means slight delay when we hit the recent app button? i never turn on the talkback setting but it is behaving that way since out of box

The service is still running even though it is not activated by default under accessibility. You may turn it off permanently under application manager, reboot and see if it works. Btw 2s is LONG enough for me to stop multitasking for quite a while lol.  cry.gif

I see, need to turn off that way.. Will try.. Indeed it suppose to be instantaneous

Worried about battery? Made my own diy power-casing laugh.gif tongue.gif

Materials:
1. XiaoMi mi power bank 5000mah
2. Cheap plastic back casing
3. Double sided tape

With this I'm ready for a long day.. Still pocketable and acceptable weight.. Still can use the phone like normal albeit the battery attached at the back, thanks to the slim XiaoMi powerbank.. Lolol

If got shorter USB cable would be nicer.. Will try to find in lyp

Depends on usage.. Especially when I use it to take notes during meeting (screen always on), and taking pictures and notes during site visit, that's when I really need power bank toward the end of the office day

cool.. but this ur phone always on charge??
Like this wont hurt ur battery ah?
*
I use it like a power casing.. When battery is low, then only I put on this casing and plug in the battery.. Most of times I use my phone naked.. But even if use it all the time, same situation like u use the ready made power casing that you can find in shops, right.. And XiaoMi powerbank can stop charging when battery is full.. But not sure good for battery or not..
