- what have you change/install before the BSOD occur ???
basically nothing. reformat the laptop 2 times but the problem still persist. (actually, the actual problem is that my screen is split into six ohmy.gif )

regarding this --> nvlddmkm.sys ---> nvidia driver ---> try below;
- uninstall all the nvidia drivers and delete the nvidia directory
- boot into safe mode (F8), locate nvlddmkm.sys and rename it to nvlddmkm.sys.old
- install the latest driver & restart
*
done that. the problem occur less frequent, but when it happens, took me a few restarts (pressing the power button) till I can get back into windows sad.gif

nevermind. I read somewhere that it has something to do with the nVidia gpu and Vista. and the best solution would be either downgrade to XP or switch to ATi. now formatted the laptop into XP and the problem is gone.

thanx for the help anyway icon_rolleyes.gif

well, technically no more BSOD since i can't even boot into OS. he2. alright, might as well ask in a new thread. thanx for your advice though. I initially suspected the PCI wireless card was at fault though since after reformat, no BSOD until I install the wireless card driver. now I've confirmed the culprit, just need to boot back into my OS. he2
