It seems like your display driver stop responding. You can use the driver that comes with the CD and see how it goes.

Please monitor your GC temperature and system temperature. You can refer to your Event Viewer for information on the error.

Add: You might have compatibility issue using your HD4870 with Vista.

Please let me know your motherboard manufacturer, your motherboard model revision and also your Bios version.

Hi there...last time i've encounter this BSOD problem...thanks for those who are helping...but i think its not the RAM problems
at the end the result my pc goes to the retailer shop for services...

there..the guys told me nothing wrong with the system as he play games using his own hdd rather than mine.. doh.gif  sweat.gif
after switch back to my hdd the BSOD appears....after checking again he said driver problem then he update the bios..and nothing
wrong with RAM..he suggested me to re-installing windows and not to installs the ASUS ExpressGate driver..now i'm using newer windows (i bought a new cd)...so i dont buy a new RAM... sweat.gif

my PC turns OK about weeks until the 1st BSOD appears after the new windows installed and it keeps occurring once a day.. cry.gif .

Hi there doom89757,
seems like you are having trouble again.
let's see what you got this time

Looks like you have some bad memory in your pc. Your RAM might be faulty causing crash on tcpip.sys.
Suggest you have a run on Memtest86+ to check your memory for error.

Other than that, manual way to do is take out your RAM and test one by one.
Clean up your RAM using a rubber.

Thanks

Recently got a new computer and having BSOD's frequently only when I play games, have already updated all drivers but still the same. Ran memtest and it showed some errors, so I took out the ram and installed it on another computer and then ran memtest again on that comp, but it showed no errors.

Hi there,
your minidump debug that failure on your hardware. The debug does not mentioned the exact driver but mentioned on ntoskrnl.exe which handles hardware driver
One of it pointed to P16X.sys which is your Creative Sound Card driver which might be the cause of your BSOD.
Your sound card driver is dated back to 2005. Please update it to the latest version.

BugCheck code you encoutered
0XD1 - DRIVER_IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
0X8E - KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

Have a look on your Event Viewer for the error. Look at System Log or Application Log. It should have information for your system.
Thanks

I went to check my system log but halfway scrolling down suddenly it popped out and said that my log file is corrupted, anyways, I'm gonna try to update my sound card drivers first

Edit : After I updated my drivers, I tried playing one of my games again (Titan Quest in this case) and it stills pops out a blue screen

STOP: 0x000000D1
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

listing P16x.sys - Adress 8967807c base at 89660000

After that i did a system search for the file p16x.sys and found that the date modified is 2005 even though I updated my drivers, so what should I do? delete the old files?

the hardware driver is totally out dated and is not suitable for SP3.
Is this hardware new part or old part?

If possible, please don't use it. That would be my advice.
Thanks

David,
Did you refer the ati link i give you?
http://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894

Please go through what is mentioned in the link above.
You have to run a system test yourself to see if your mobo, bios is compatible with your graphic card.
That is what i can help you at this moment.
Other than that you have to follow the instruction from ATI website that i give you above.
Refer this topic

737-26591: Blue Screen error (BSoD) referencing ATIKMDAG.SYS in Microsoft Windows Vista

Thanks

Hi there,
You have variety of driver ranging from 2001 to 2008.
There might be some fault/conflict in your driver especially one of the bsod pointed specifically to your ATI GC driver and another one is your system driver atapi.sys
I could not identified exactly what's the actual problem you are having with your system.
Are you previously using NVIDIA GC? I hope you can uninstall fully the previous driver to avoid conflict with your current driver.
Also, please update your ATI driver and see if problem persist.

Can you tell me what other thing you have done to your system previously that on yesterday you have 3 BSOD? you install any application or driver?

i've checked my graphic card and found out my gpu's fan is not moving due to dusty blade
i've took out the fan, cleaned it and then reattached the fan. After that, the fan is smoothly running
but the BSOD still occur with

IRQL_IS_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL message

i've downloaded and installed the latest ati driver
is there any possibility that my GC is broken?

you also mention that conflict/faulty with atapi.sys
i've already removed my optical drive
maybe faulty with my hard drive?

for your info, i'm not do any recent modification to my hardware or install application
the BSOD is happen after 3-5minutes usage.repeatedly...

this is my latest minidump file
i pick two only

i will help you debug your minidump file soon,
At the mean time please run scandisk for error of your harddisk. Afraid that your hdd might have bad sector.

At the mean time, If possible please clean up your RAM too.
Detailed information i will let you know soon.

By the way, please upload the whole folder here if possible. if those two you upload just now is new one, then is ok.

Thanks
Francis
