Haven't had a BSOD in months, and last time only because my waterblock wasn't attached properly causing my GPU to overheat so that was a mechanical issue, and now I've had two BSOD episodes in a space of 2 days
I think it's my extremely slow internet. As for why: BSOD 1 - was downloading origin update. Internet keep disconnecting (everyone in the house experienced the same) and after the second time somehow the download was corrupted. Didn't know, installed Origin, and got a BSOD when I ran it. Uninstalled origin, and reinstalled, no more issue. BSOD 2 - my speed drop to around 40-60KBps unstable. So while playing BF4, I had constant stuttering, in game teleportation, screen jumps and issues. Then when my internet disconnected again the whole game stopped, and the in game sound started repeating itself. Was about to leave game when I got the second BSOD and the following showed up (I've attached pictures). Unlike the first BSOD where the pc just restarted normally and had zero issues, the second BSOD I had to force shutdown when I tried the restart the second time (I always do so after the pc restarts the first time after a BSOD). Turned out my AMD drivers crashed. Using 14.6 drivers. Any advice? Will try to fix my BF4 later. Hoping Thursday's installation of max is fibre will finally solve my decade long curse of slow internet. Attached thumbnail(s) |

Was having some issue recently with my gtx460.
even with clean format, system will bsod once I installed driver for gtx460. No issue when log in safe mode. Sign of faulty card? I have bought another card to replace and doesn't seems to have the same issue. Kindly advice. Thank You |

Edited: Fixed. Turned out to be one of AISuite that was causing the crash. Didn't know it was lethal and left it there for 18 months. Heh.
Just a few days ago while playing Don't Starve Together, my PC suddenly blue screened. After this BSOD, the blue screen will reoccur after login to Windows and about plus minus 5 minutes into using Windows. Unlike most common blue screens this one said, "A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor" At this point, I thought of 2 possible causes:- 1. RAM 2. Graphics Card Did a memtest for 12 hours for a complete 4 pass check and the results were returned clean. Processor at 50C throughout the test. No BSOD occurred. Which left me with Graphics Card, but nothing was wrong with it. All my temperatures were good and clean and I've never OC-ed my rig. First time seeing this type of BSOD too. I've search online, but most others relate to installing new hardware; RAM related and etc which is definitely not my case. I'd appreciate some advice/insight if possible My specs:- Intel i7 4770K Asus MAXIMUS VI IMPACT Asus GTX780-DC2OC-3GD5 Samsung 840 PRO 256GB Corsair CMY16GX3M2A1866C9R PS: No memory dump found. Installed Whocrashed, but didn't help either. Thanks for your patience in advance This post has been edited by Rithrade: Jun 21 2015, 08:36 AM |
