Ok, i've learnt this somewhere in ICE forum but forgotten already. Didn't touch ICe for almost 2 years. I'm looking for Amplifier and Woofer now. So, i just wanna make sure both can match.
Now what i wanted to know is the ohm(s)...
Let say i got a monoblok amp that can do :-
- 300W RMS 4ohms
- 500w RMS 2ohms
- 700w RMS 1ohm
And woofer that states the specification as following :-
- 300w RMS 4 ohms
Note that I installing 2 piece of Woofers..
What i wanted to ask is.. If i connect the amplifier to run at 1ohm.. Will the woofer blow? Cause if i run at 4 ohms if not enuff...
2 pieces of woofer i suppose if both are 4 ohm, it should be 2 ohm if u wire parallel. Now what i wanted to know is the ohm(s)...

no ur woofer will not blow if u wire it at 1ohm, in which if u have Dual voice coil woofer (both), it should be 1 ohm if u wire parallel. however, you can wire serial and parallel and it should be 4 ohm. But the 4 ohm wiring will not have as much power as the 1 ohm. However, it is easier to drive a 4 ohm than a 1 ohm woofer
Kong, no it's not a problem connecting a 8ohm woofer. In fact, it is easier for the amplifier easier to drive it.
