Whatever the global market share of Fitch, let's see how much wil the RM depreciates (or stays or appreciates ?) after the ratings report.
ON a personal basis,... I vote tht there wil be depreciation, but not much, because this is now called the after-effct. |

That's why I said - 'not much, because this is nw calld the after-effect'. I have taken into consideration tht the mkt has already priced-in or factored-in the downgrade by now, since Mr Mkt is fwd-looking.
BUT - be careful. If,.. due to whtever reasons, there is NO downgrade, or even, though imposible, an upgrade occurs, then the mkt will uddenly swing in the opposite direction. This post has been edited by Hansel: Jun 26 2015, 04:57 PM |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Jun 30 2015, 12:59 PM) The ringgit rebounded from a 10-year low after Bank Negara Malaysia Governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz said its weakness isn’t sustainable. YESSSSSSSSS,. at least our centrl bank is defending the Rinngit. Got balls,... I am born in Msia, everhwher I go, people see my Msian passport, no choice... so I am proud tht my gverner is flexing her muscles. Hoped her words are strong enuff, but nexon here has already mentioned tht the RM has rebounded from a 10-yr low, right ?http://www.theedgemarkets.com/en/article/m...-zeti-reassures So, our governer got balls, and her words got results too,... yeahhhh,.... Sorry abt the 'got balls' proverb,... This post has been edited by Hansel: Jun 30 2015, 12:21 PM |

QUOTE(supersound @ Jun 30 2015, 02:18 PM) Well, they can come out with all sort of bullshit to justify weaker currency are good That's right - same opinion here, those up there can talk all the BS's abt now, and the future being better, etc, etc,... but one thing I can tell is we are suffering NOW. AND THIS IS NOT GOOD. How long more do we hav to suffer ? How long more to wait for better times to come along ?But then at the same time, retrenchment everywhere REal BS's, this one. |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Jul 1 2015, 09:54 AM) A little surprise that Fitch revise the outlook to stable. Perhaps we wil never know the real reasons - cld be BNM governer's speech is convincing,.... could be gov't went on a basis of : I help you and you help me.http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2015...laysia-outlook/ I guess the collection of GST that exceed expectation and fiscal situation improvement is the major reason. Ifyou look at a few pgs back, I belivd I did mntion that there could be surprises. THis is the one now. Lets see how much wil the RM rebound before it start to turn agin. Yes, it wil turn again, can't tahan on the uptrned for too long. |

QUOTE(supersound @ Jul 2 2015, 10:54 AM) SGDlar Congrats, Seprsound. But - it would have been better if you hav a continuos inflow of RMB and SGD, right ? Look at yr RMB, now that you hav sold it, yes, you have made profit,... but you have no more RMB to make another round of profit. Unless you take another risk by buying-up RMB again when the RM strengthns against the RMB. Same goes for yr SGD.USD in this world are being over fry, so sometimes is good to keep other currencies. I just cashed out my RMB10000 that been keeping for 3 years, make some profit from it Still got few k of SGD that been keeping for past 10 years |

Same goes for yr SGD. ... don't go selling-off your SGD (unles you really needed the money, but I don't think you do). Go buy some invstments in Sgp that will continue to earn you SGD, while keeping yr value in the investments. Buy within these few months as the Feds are scaring the world abt rate hikes. Keep monitoring the news., find the best time to enter every now and then. Best is if the investments can give you a qyarterly or monthly dividend, then you get your money earlier to re-invest in. Few K's of SGD ALSO CAN. Don't need a few millions-lar, okay ? At least you start-lar,... This post has been edited by Hansel: Jul 2 2015, 11:53 AM |
