Your AC is a general area cooling device, doesn't help if your power brick is in a corner and not directly affected by the airflow.

Also.. remember what happens when you turn off your AC and your room is exposed to the hot malaysian weather? Condensation.. basically that of course depends on how cold, and how the heat travels through ur house but it's definelty somethign to think about.
