I hope the mid-range 370 and 370X are equipped with 3GB vRAM instead. But HBM is only for the 390 series?

Nano is based on Fiji, probably a cut down version of it

Hawaii can't be designed with such a small PCB because it needs 16 GDDR5 memory for the 512 bit memory interface, not to mention the power circuits to accomodate that too.

Fiji had the HBM on the GPU packaging, so it can be made into a really small card.

290x vs Fury X

ATI has always been pretty innovative with a lot of their architecture enhancements, they were first with AVIVO where the GC took up video processing and started the trend, but for 1 year plus only 1 piece of software supported it, they were first with non-linear pipeline architecture and a lot of other things both companies use as the norm these days. NVidia has always bided its time when comes to these things, preferring market maturity. That's why Maxwell debuted in the GTX 750 TI for more than a year before being scaled up.

Looks liek Tantalum Polymer capacitors near the power capacitors (eg; Panasonic/Sanyo SMD POSCAP). Might be wrong.

Also the increased compactness of the board and a superior VRM might negate the need for bulk capacitance.

I'm a noob when it comes to graphic card history  . But I find it strange AMD does not care about the mid tier gamer who only budget is around 300-500 usd

Fury x to be fair is for high end level  , not really surprise about overseas price and local is another story. Rebrand for mid tier and charging the same price is almost shallow like what their competitor did .  Cant they learn from NVIDIA 970 best bang for buck until 3.5gb fiasco

Its gonna be a tight battle for the GTX 970 and the R9 390 alright.

Personally, the AAA games that i play is just GTA V, thats all i care about really. And i don't buy into Witcher 3 BS.
Looking forward for Arkham Knight tho
