When watching video it's normal for the card to use UVD clock. If you use madVR it will use 3D clock instead.
What about GPU usage? is it idle?

i used to have that issue, but after reinstalling driver or restarting PC, all is solved..

i will try using HTML5 to watch youtube, off Chrome

sometimes its goes to idle, like now nothing running its 300/150 which is good... temps go down to 33-34

but sometimes it doesnt, stuck on 501/1600 and temps stay at 43-45


i've been having this problem for a very very long time, and im pretty sure its not about drivers since ive been changing cards/drivers many times across the last 3-4 years

but yes, restarting PC does fix it

i was thinking of an easier way, like restarting the GPU driver... i remember old ATI TRAY TOOLS had this feature, lol

Sometime flash video in Steam store will make your card stuck at UVD clock. (500/1600)

Hmm, I do use steam store sometimes to watch game reviews or just troll some stuff..

Flash, it seems to be one of the problems. Let me eliminate that out of the equation first

Yeah wccftech is the best source for graphics technology DirectX 12 won't change a thing regarding this, one good example; nvidia is actively disabling PhysX when it detect AMD GPU and/or it's not the main active cards when it actually work at one time before nvidia finds it out and kills it. That is only the PhysX portion, and to be able to use cross brand multi GPU solution? Not in a billion years.
