Didn't notice anything different. pCars crappy GPU usage still there. I think there's no improvement for single card user.

What the f.. tested this in Assetto Corsa, everything was fine in cockpit view while driving but when i use TV cam things turn upside down. Tearing like never before especially in 2nd screenshot..

Mine only OC'ed to 70Hz, it does slightly improve input lag.

Upon further testing, the new driver is another keeper for me.

I had trouble with AC:Unity after switching to 290x where the GPU usage won't go over 90% and average FPS only around 40s which is similar to my old 7950.
I did a clean driver install twice and that didn't fix it but this 15.3 driver almost fix the problem. Now my GPU usage is >90% most of the times and average FPS improve to 60-ish(50-ish on super crowded area).



Another noticeable improvement is for Project Cars. Now GPU usage also >90% where previously hover around 45%-60%.


I thought that only happen to CRT monitor.

I'm using a Xeon E3-1230v2. Normally the game only use 50% across all physical cores for me.

Totally worth it. No you can't unlock to 290x.

Better ask for additional personal warranty though for a week or 2 in case something wrong with the hardware but hard to detect on 1st test.

Modded driver that enable VSR and Framelimiter, use at your own risk. Some claimed VSR kinda worked on older card (GCN1.0).
You need to disable Driver Signature before installing or use Test mode.

Help funding the project, but SlightlyMad already reached their goal so you can't help fund the project anymore. Right now either you wait for full release or **** ****** *****.

You can't unlock 290 to 290x anymore and never buy reference unless you planning to watercool it.

I want max performance not crippling performance.

No throttling moment at all?

I see, countless thread about the horrible noise and throttling made me think 290s ref cooler = automatic throttle.

I did overclock for a couple of games like AC and pCars.

Just tried the leaked 15.2 modded driver, framerate control doesn't work for me and VSR max limit is 3840x2160 instead of 3200x1800.


The driver gave me higher DPC count so i'm reverting back to 15.3.1. No TDR or BSOD though.

Try Msi Afterburner, i use it to overclock and underclock my 6770m.

I'm not sure if u can undervolt with overdrive hack anymore, give it a try.

Can't even enter safemode?

3DMark API Overhead feature test is online. I already removed my Win10 installation so i can't test DX12.

you should get some kind of personal warranty for those problem and return the card if it happen. earlier version of asus 280x was known to have that kind of problem but they already fixed it

Now i start to think it's an ex-miner cards. Doesn't matter much if it perform like it should and still have factory warranty.

doubt that since the card only have 1 year of warranty left.
