can an online race be saved? because I suggest doing a 24 hour race.
this is very different from a usual race. you have to take factor of engine life, Tyre choise, the sun (Believe me, to drive at sunset and sunup is the hardest thing to do in this game), strategy, and most of all, concentration. We will partition this race into parts where each part will be raced each weekend, saved and resumed the weekend after. The only downside is if the racer cannot make it to the race, he will be dropped |

Cannot save, once you press ESC while online race, the car will jump to garage = DNF.....game over already
The only way doing that is to use the time scale of 48x if available on the game lah...hehehe (30mins race X 48 = 1440mins divide 60mins = 24hr) Maybe we do it only at Proximus Spa 24hr Round 7 only lah, the other round is normal time scale...lets get others opinion also. Cannnot make 1 hour race? the longer the better. And it will affect the tire choise.
Amazing discovery tho, I can last up to more than 2 hours on the same set of tyres at Monza because of the low tyre degredation |

The Feature Race (Race#2) 30mins with 2x tyre wear & 2x fuel usage is enough i think, equivalent to 60mins normal tyre wear & fuel, did some test @ Imola (average 1:45.xx/fastest 1:44.xx) with normal tyre wear & fuel usage, after 25mins with medium compund, start droping the lap times of 3sec to 4sec...masuk pit already to replace the tyre & lap times improve.
During the race, it could be hard compound no pitstop or maybe 1 pitstop with medium compund or maybe 2 or 3 pitstop with soft compund...drivers choice..hehehe This coming test race i might go for hard compound with no pit...want to see how many laps dapat in the race. |

Hard compound is good. The lap times is not the much different, but I can push it to the max more than twice the lap numbers of the Medium. I tested it in the 24H races, and with the Ferrari550, which had small tanks compared to other cars. I discovered that it was at it's best after 30 laps.

you obviously have no problem coz you got MOMO. F1C league has the option of using all aids, its up to you to compete with or without the aids. If you wanna be like Initial D and use "no aid" car and compete with those "electronically enhanced" cars...I got no problem with that

Raikkonen, i use MOMO default setting in the game, also in the control panel setting...i only change the car setup...
last night race u spin on the starting, remember not to press the gas pedal to the max...everything still cold..need 2 or 3 laps before getting the opt temp...i'm also went to the beach on 1st lap...sand trap...hehehe see u guys tonight...test race at Oshersleben...1:23.xxx is the target time...practise now...hehehe |

my problem is the throttle...no matter how little I put the throttle rating, it will definitely spin. Now I found out that the throttle rating is only how fast/slow it will get to max throttle. I'm at 10% only now...reducing and reducing but to no avail...

A good setup can give you good stability
I turn off the stability setting even tho I'm using the keyboard as I can use the car's unbalance to make it oversteer during cornering. best siot, as the oil in the car act as a ballast...... |

Look's like limitation streamyx upload speed of 384kbps = 8 players only.
Tested in Race#1 (16mins Sprint Race), 10 drivers started but after a few laps, one by one drop (connection lost) and left 4 drivers (Madnoren/VoiVod/Soze & Kenny) continuing the race. We continue to Race#2 (30mins Feature Race with Weight Penalty Applied), 8 drivers started (exc. Kenny & Smokey), from start to finish, everything works fine, no player drop, no lag, no connection lost. Kenny & Smokey, both of u using streamyx right? Look's like driving with keyboard in sim mode is too hard for both of u to get the competetive lap times. If u can afford, get the wheel....get the cheap cheap one also can.. We still in discussion on this connection issue...testing will be carry on. Oh BTW, sorry for not allowing u guys to chat during qualify & race..it's one of the online racing professional rules...basically to avoid the network lag & can cause loss concentration to other drivers. |

JMB Team Race Review
Sprint Race Nothing much to report in Sprint race, qualified in 4th almost 2 seconds off the pace. Had an okay start was fighting for 4 -5 position IINM. Then connection lost Feature Race Qualified 2nd but still 2 seconds off Voivod pace who was in pole. I planned to race the whole race without pitting. I put on Medium tyre because i did won the previous Oscerleben test race on medium before. Had a great start from the off and slip thru voivod in the first corner. Tried to break away voivod in the opening stint but he kept the 1 second gap to me. Halfway thru the race i felt my back end felt nervous; showing signs of wear. Redline managed to pass voivod and immediately closing on to my tail. We did touch at Shell kurve (i think) and Alan slip by to take the lead. A few corner later at the straight just before the 3 left turn my rear right launched into the air... and went wide and redline and voivod slip thru. and a little comment on the connection lost problem. I think the only solution right now is everybody buys original so that Redline can utilise his server for the game. Or, we can setup 2 league :

Memorised track no problem...but sometimes at top gear when braking...so much
understeer need good setup I guess. Some say less rear wing might do it. I guess what makes a difference is how fast (slowly to not understeer) you exited the corner. |

Wei, Raikonnen...don't give up laa. You can always discuss setup with us. I personally have no problem sharing my setup with others. As long as we can have good clean gentleman's race.
Everybody has to start somewhere..betul tak?? Trust me..you will be there in no time. Masuk Teamspeak laa...so we can talk and discuss setup. Now I've to prepare for Donnington. Mlm esok join practice with us. |

Watched the 1st test race .vcr.
Madnor were flying Only three (3) racers in the end? Why? And my game crashed when I was viewing the vcr...why? 2nd test race. Seems that Ferrari 575 has better acceleration but not quite good underbraking. But the acceleration were fast.Yellow Saleen has better underbraking and good in corners but not so good in acceleration. The Lister quite an easy car to handle, very hard to make it spin - with the right setup (and driving) should be competitive with the rest more hp cars
went back to rfactor GP2 car last night - totally messed up the setup, no grip at all, the car was simply undriveable |

wow Redline - after sahur pun practice? no wonder stevie wonder so fast one
practice at Doni last night am clearly off the pace of everybody - i must be attacking the track in the wrong way. but im actually off the pace in GTR2 at other tracks as well so far  but the good thing i finally able to feel the setup changes i've been making. im a little puzzle why the rev limit not changeable in the setup though?? |

last night can't stay longer, heavy rain & thunder storm here....tested the Lister & feel it has oversteer exit of corner. After tweaking manage to do 1:28.2xx, i'll upload the setup to the server tonight. change the diff a lot, power = 70, coast = 25, preload = 2 (default = 30, 50, 2) & it feels so much better under acceleration...it's small, light & easy to drive....load my setup tonight & give a try...

Donington is weird. You cannot use heavy braking. The cambering nature of the track makes the rear very unstable under cornering, thus can lead to spinout really quickly. your chance is to brake early, turn the car hard for it to drift, and catch it while in midslide. Yikes!!! Donnington race was a mess for me.
I join late and didn't get much time to setup my car and disaster came...hehehe. Well, used to race with open wheel here at Donnington and driving a Ferrari 575 here is totally...slippery..ekekeke. Need more grip!!!! ARGHHH!!!! |

aiyak miss the test again...............................tido
raikko - guess two of us are still too slow here, need to practice more. this morning i did a few laps on default setup (was testing fps tweak) and actually went quicker than the times i did previous night drift?? totally not good at - is it the same as letting the car slides more, less braking btw the Lister rev is permanent at 6400 and not 6600 like i reported before |

At the end only 8 people turn up. We were hoping for a bigger number so that we can test the connection stability.

yes the purpose of the test race is to push the dedicated server to the limit, tested with 9 drivers during practise session & no problems with the connection issue....we need to keep on testing until min 12 drivers to be on the grid..another 2 players just PM me to join the league....
if the existing registered driver didn't turn up during test session again...i got no choice to free up their car to make rooms for others....i'v increased the datarate in server from 14 to 64 per clients...we see how it goes...need low latency...with 14, average clients ~ 110ms. The 64 been used in rFactor & we got latency ~ 50ms. I try to apply in GTR2. |

Also, aku baru perasan, kalo ko drop engine rev limit darik paling tinggi ker 200~300RPM less, dalam 2 laps dia save fuel. Kalo campur tu ngan tayar Hard, akan dapat satu keter yang slow skit tapi takyah pit lansung |

Last nite we did practice in Monza, i did 1.45
i think 1.44 is possible Then we race 30 mins at anderstop, all 5 of us using NGT cars, it was a close race |

Racing is a test of skill; On line racing is a test of skill and manners! That being said, let us explore driving habits and some of the unspoken rules. The first unspoken rule is "Drive Clean". No one like a dirty driver or to be rammed. If you run a race and try your best to stay on the road and not hit ANYTHING, your chances of the #1 position are much better than if you bounce off everything in sight. Brakes are our friends, use them. "Go slower to go faster" is an accepted fact. Losing the line or going off the track wastes valuable time. Blocking or shutting the door, is an accepted practice. The skill needed to get around a blocker is a lot higher than the skill needed to get around a track. Catching me is one thing, PASSING me cleanly is another. Anyone behind the wheel can ram. It does not take talent, but my hat is off to the guys that can get by without incident. RL (Real Life) racing carries severe penalties for dirty drivers. Black flags, time penalties, and suspensions for repeat offenders in structured racing and for the truly idiotic street racers, loss of license and/or national debt class insurance premiums. GTR does not have all these checks built in, and it is up to the racers to police their own. Some players will say, "This is just a game, get a life" and, yes, it is a game. Last night follow RonMD (I think) while doing my hot lap. No disrespect but my car (not me ) were faster on straight line.But I decided not to attack because not nice lah if accidents happen. no time to look left n right for the side mirrors.... and during multiplayer, is it our view fixed with cockpit only? my view is so small, coz using running in windowed mode only... |

Please test advance new physic patch for GTR2 downloaded from
AutoSimSport Oct Magazine i'v tested & it's very difficult to drive with gamepad...close to GTR1 physic.. Last night i used my xbox360 controller racing with u guys...with all aids off...i'm still fast...very funny.. That's why the PRO simracer hate the ori physic...arcadish..it's one of their market strategy...easy to drive racing games = more people to buy Plz try & give the feedback.... OT/ Fired Team Corvette PitCrew....Slow Like Turtle.... |

OK GTR2 Dedicated Server now running with New Advance Physics Patch...testing again at Brno....now the question is whether each of the clients need to install the patch individually or dedicated server will auto assign the new physic to each connected clients. We have to try & see....
Look's like the autopilot entering the pit still on although i have turn it off....is't a bug?  |

I say go wif advance physic because:
1: Drives Gtr2 easier & less effort then rFactor F3.... 2: Missed the fishtailing from GTR car when throttle floored 3: Less sweat handling GTR2 compare to F3 4: Simulation mode wif gamepad control the car thourghout full race?... err kinda arcadish eik Even on the net simracer slam GTR2/Simbin for the arcadish feel |

Dont install 1st. Try enter server... if mismatch, then install the physic update. You like it more then GTR2 wif no aids, once u'll get the hang of it. Gonna try it tonite.

Tested the new physics... quite okay. redline, you need to change the tire wear to x1 if you want to continue use this new physics. With this new physics tires will degrade faster...

and guys, if you have the time, dont forget to watch 'Max Factor' ( the title is correct i think) on Star Sport this week because they cover FIA GT3 race in Oscherleben. I caught the tail end of the show after COH last nite. and this new physics is hard. My best time at Brno is 1.55 but with this new physics i can only manage 1.59 |

just installed the NAP this morning and did a few laps on default at Byrno for the first time - clocking 2:04: iinm, too slow uh, shud improve with more practice n setup tweak i guess. not much comment on the new physics, maybe after more laps will have a better feel which track on server now? monza race on? after raya lah - lol - i have not been practicing |

Damn!!! Last nite at Monza was a hell for me. Seems that I cannot make my car go faster. I only manage to clock 1:50. That is until Izznatta told me to check my throttle. And guess what? It only went up to 90%!! No wonder.
Try to calibrate again and even worst happened. I plugged in my sidewinder wheel and try to use a sidewinder throttle and MOMO wheel. But GTR2 just cannot accept 2 different wheel at one time. With that I just have to race with onlt my sidewinder wheel with no FFB...perghh!!! Ringan giler!!! Dah lama tak drive without FFB. I hit a wall and DNF. Lastly I've decided to leave and go to mamak for my sahur.....tenangkan fikiran..hehehe. Sorry guys, I couldn't join you all for COH. Today, I woke up early and start my driving at Monza with my Sidewinder wheel. After a few round and setup tweaks I manage to clock at 1:46....bolelah cukup2 makan. |

To me the wings settings (I use front wing 1, rear 3) do not affect my laptimes as much. For cornering, the most critical to me is the differential and anti roll bar... |

just play the differential setting...some like more power diff than coast...but i'm running low for both...20-10-1 (power-coast-preload), i can balance the car when throttle at cornering...but the car oversteer exit of corner (counter by increasing the power diff in step of 5 & do the test again & again...)

need to config the button for LCD. ok kot using your 360 to browse the LCD functions compare to keyboard (pssstt..kenny around or not? )Me using MOMO and have a button on the wheel to use LCD mode, LCD up, down, + nd -. oh ya, you need to use cockpit view to see it...it's on the steering wheel and it's in red. speed on the start/finish line is shortened by 12kmph, get to use more speed on a few corners...besides that, nothing much.
did a 1.48 on the first lap, 1.44 on the second lap. Malas wanna continue. Basically the time still can be shortened. |

Dudes, it was never about the money, it is about commitment and time in which I don't have much now. That's why I don't bother about the free COH or watever.

Max RPM cannot guarantee fastest lap...lower RPM will Seems...the lower the RPM, the more easier to handle the car. Weird...weird. Smokey and Redline, what RPM you are using and how many radiators?
