Dota 2 Trading Thread Rules and Regulations

THREAD WILL BE PURGED EVERY 15th DAY OF EACH MONTH

1) This thread will be SERIOUSLY MONITORED, and any posts that does not follow the rules will be immediately REMOVED WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE. This thread has been created so that Traders don't keep creating new threads or posting on each page to promote their items.

2) ONLY ONE POST PER FORUMER. MULTIPLE POSTS WITHIN THIS THREAD WILL BE REMOVED WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE AND POSSIBLY WARNED IF REPEATED OFFENSE. Use the EDIT FUNCTION if you want to change your items.

3) This thread is PURELY for TRADING ONLY, and u may not post anything else, like normal chat or asking anything. Any questions or inquiries, PM the TRADER or BUYER.

4) If u wish to contact a person PM him/her, DO NOT POST here. This is to keep the thread clean and easy to view. This is a serious thread and will be HEAVILY MODERATED, and repeated offenses will lead to a warning.

5) You may post using the below TEMPLATE ONLY. Not following may lead to a REMOVAL without prior notice. I will see how the thread goes and probably wipe out the content once a year.

6) TO NAVIGATE: Bottom left, u will see the SEARCH TOPIC function. Try searching for a general name or known name of that item. For example: Hook, DC, Pudge (for Dragonclaw Hook), TB, Timebreaker (for Timebreaker), Arcana (for arcana lina, tb, lc), etc etc.

7) I suggest subscribing to keep know if there's new posts / members here.

8) Please remember to take precautions when trading with strangers even if he/she seems polite/trustworthy. You can refer to a basic guide on the next post.

Basic Guide and Tips On Trading Items
1. Always important to know the market price of items as well as the image of the item (Can refer to the above link www.dota2prices.com (price) or www.dota2wiki.com (image))
2. Please find below the trading channels that most people post their offers in (In the main page after loading Dota 2, click on the "+" symbol right hand corner of chat box to search and add channels)
3. Once you found an offer, right click on his nickname and add them as friend. Once approved you can start bargaining or trading.
4. Make sure before trading, check their inventory (Right click nickname > View Steam Profile > Inventory) to see if they have that particular item. Make sure the name of the item matches the image of the item. Also ensure they have good comments on their Steam Profile if you are dealing with cash transaction.
4. Do not click on any links of phising websites (Scammers will ask you to add his friend or he cant add you, etc). Make sure to check the spelling of the url: www.steamcommunity.com - Its must be the exact spelling with Valve Corp certificate on the left side of the address bar.
5. You can also check their steam ID at steamrep.com to make sure they are not a banned trader
6. People get scammed because of the description modifier that changes an item's name to scam fresh traders. (e.g. people mistaken Dragonclaw Hook (pudge immortal) for Creeper's Cruel Hook (Bounty Hunter common).
7. To initiate trade, either "shift+tab" or go out to your steam client and right click on their nickname and select "Invite to trade" to start trading.
8. In the trading window, you can use the advance search filter to fasten the process. Make sure the other trader places the item into the trading slot then you can tick the ready box.
9. Ensure both parties have ticked the box and then only press the Make Trade button to finish the trade.
10. If the trading process goes smoothly, you are encourage to comment the trader (e.g. good trader, trustworthy, fast, +rep etc.). You can ask them to do the same for you. These comments are testimonial for your trading activities
10. Always and always keep this is mind: A deal too good to be true, mostly is too good to be true. Be cautious better than sorry!
11. Apply the same principles as you are doing an online shopping in the internet.
12. Have fun trading!

Trading Acronyms and Terms

B/O = Buy Out Price
RR = Random rares
Sweet(s) = Extra item(s) to sweeten the deal
1:2 = Ratio of items (e.g. 1 rare trading with 2 rares)
LS = Loading Screen




Basic Information Regarding dota2lounge.com (betting site)

1. At the home page, you can select which match to bet.
2. The no. of items you can bet is from 1(min) to 4(max) - common, uncommon and rare items only.
3. The prize of bet is based on the betters percentage.
4. Select a team and press the PLACE BET button. If the bots are free, there will be a pop-up window at the bottom-right asking you to "add bot and wait" or "cancel".
5. [IMPORTANT] In this pop-up window there will be a code given. Make sure to take note of this code. Potential scammers might be lurking around.
6. Once added the bot will automatically approves you and will inform you on the code and just start trading. If the code is wrong. DONT TRADE.
7. Trading goes as normal (you select which item you want to bet and make the trade).
8. The bot will automatically remove you and you are done. Just refresh the page in dota2lounge and you are in.
9. Once the game finishes, the result will be known and only when you win the bet, you can claim the price.
10. Once won, just go to the "MY BETS" tab and claim your prize. You can check which bot has 100% of your items. Just click and queue or add them to claim it. The procedure is the same (no.4 to no.8).
11. Enjoy your betting!
