What you mean take off power plug and battery and hold power button ?
If your laptop don't have power supply to it, pressing the power button won't do anything to it.. most probably holding the power button is to force shut down it..

Try turn on your laptop with AC adapter plugged in, then go into bios.. if still can't see anything then most probably is ur screen hardware failure, if can then it's not..
Then try boot your OS in safe mode.. or do a recovery / system restore

Yeah I can go into the bios.

Nope, just pure black screen. Actually it's not totally black, you can still see the LED is powered up just blank screen.

And after around 4 minutes, it will restart automatically and go back to ASUS logo and then black screen again.

sounds like your windows fail to load. I recommend that you find another pc and start creating live system on a usb. Plug that usb to your asus machine and load from that usb. Backup your files, you are likely need to perform a format. There is an option to perform memory test on that live system, if you are lucky, after performing memory test you might be able to load windows. Happened to me last time, just speaking form experience.

this site summarizes what to do to create (ubuntu) live usb: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/cre...tick-on-windows

I managed to recover it to factory setting...
Guess I'm just gonna say bye to my un-backup files.

So remember from now on.. Create system restore point when you feel needed.. So next time you can avoid reformatting your whole system..

Also if you're good enough, partition your HDD.. 1 for OS & programs, another 1 for data storage
