Introduction

Let's be honest here. I'm not really a big fan of speakers especially the big one. For me as long as I can hear the sound coming out and the quality is satisfying, it's more than enough. I went to an IT shop the other day to pick up a Bluetooth speaker mainly for my laptop because the speaker is totally out. I mean, the speaker already pecah like that and it's very unpleasant to listen with that kind of condition. In the end, I decided to pick up Sonic Gear Pandora 7 and gave it a try. On to my review folks!

Thoughts

In terms of sound quality produced by this speaker, it is tremendous. You can hear every detail of the sound and, ohh God seriously I'm speechless. The bass, the clarity, everything is perfect. The built-in microphone also did a great job handling my calls. Surprisingly the person on the other side can hear me clearly I'm talking 1 meter away from my speaker without even raising my voice too loud. This brings laziness to a whole new level. Not for private calls though unless I live alone in the house tongue.gif Compare to other famous brands like Edifier, I could say this bad boy is as powerful as those expensive ones and for a very good speaker that costs less than RM 200, it is indeed affordable and totally worth it. For a casual like me, this is more than enough. Sonic Gear never fails to amused me with their quality yet affordable audio devices. Another kudos from me Sonic Gear thumbup.gif

Unfortunately, the Bluetooth feature has its con. Whenever I leave my laptop idle for like 1/2 hour while connecting to the speaker, when I want to resume my song back the audio became choppy with late response. In order to fix that I have to disconnect and reconnect back to the speaker. It's very tedious and always gets on my nerve. The problem also occurs with my phone. I hope Sonic Gear can fix that in the future products sweat.gif

Verdict

Pros:-

+ Built-in subwoofer for extra BOOM
+ Crystal clear audio
+ Sleek and stylish design
+ Built-in microphone for loud speaker phone calls

Cons:-

- Poor Bluetooth connectivity when leaving the device idle
