Exactly, its after sale service is the only doubts for me.
I have done the review for all these brands before.
I'm personally can't accept the design of Illegear and Aftershock laptop. Since the design is extremely important to me.
For Aorus, I have tried the unit and viewed a lot of the reviews. Because of its SLI, it seems like having a very bad heat issue. It produces the most heat than other.
I'm currently using Alienware M14X. I love it's design and quality. I cant denied what you have said. I'm so disappointed with Alienware Malaysia. They still not able to renew its graphic to GTX900 series while MSI already did that long time ago.
For Razer, I completely have no ideas so i can't make any judgement. It's price tag definitely scare out of the freak of me. I'm actually not sure what will be the after sale service for Razer gaming notebook. Currently, I'm using Razer ouroboros, Razer Electra and Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2014. Past a few months, My Razer Ouroboros is malfunction suddenly, I have to send it to Singapore for RMA and it cost me RM70++ for shipping fee. I faint.
Furthermore, there is an issue i found, please review this post from cari:
http://cforum1.cari.com.my/forum.php?mod=v...&extra=page%3D1Btw, what do you think of ASUS Gaming laptop build quality if we don't talk about its after sale service?
If design really a matter for you.. then no choice.. But actually Illegear or Aftershock design is very good in long run.. you will get use to it very soon.. Asus ROG is not a good choice if you travel a lot.. Not like you gonna bring it to Starbuck and play game right ? Too eye catching for me..
You can ask Illegear rep here, Prince J for the model you want.. they can customize it for you.. like you maybe can select Z5 and ask to have 970m card installed, they will let you know it's do-able or not (make sure to tell them to benchmark it first)
I'm surprise Aorus and Razer is having heat issue. Cause they are the 2 brand which is good in thermal control for slim gaming laptop..

I not sure you can get Razer laptop from where, better ask sifu here.. For Aorus you can try it out at Illegear, they have a unit at there.. i think is X7. They also have gigabyte which is another gaming laptop brand.. quite decent also.. check it up

Alienware is memang like that, but what choice we have.. their built quality and service is really good.. and they sell so exp.. so they earn enough then don't feel like upgrading lo..
IMHO, Asus ROG in term of spec only is quite good.. excluding the bad image of their service and a bit OP compared to clevo model.. But I won't risk my luck as I may not or need a very stressful process to claim for warranty.. Asus ROG is not so portable also.. it's quite huge and heavy.. not good for traveling purposes..

What if the temperate it gets during intense gaming like Battlefield 4, Titanfall and Dragon Age?
My friends claim the temperature went to 80+ Celsius. I'm not sure about this. Seems like i have to give it a try during the coming PC fair in Midvalley.
Not sure.. didn't ask.. probably around there.. 70-80+ on gpu & 60-75+ on cpu.. it's normal for slim gaming laptop.. Acer V Nitro also go up to 70+ when under full load
If you want durable, get MSI GT series.. it has better thermal control as it's bulkier.. I think MSI GT series is good but price is OP..
So if I can bulk up to so much $ like you, I would go for clevo model or MSI GT series.. since MSI GT series seldom have problem.. All because, design is not an issue for me
