Doubt about the release date of ASUS G751JY in Malaysia[cool.gif

I'm so curious about the release date of ASUS G751JY, the one with GTX 980M graphic card.
Anyone has any ideas about this?
I have found the G751JT (GTX970M) already released in Malaysia where some resellers like Tech Hypermart and Tech Armory started selling it.
Unfortunately, I found no traces for the G751JY (GTX980M version).

Anyone knows the release date for it? I can't wait to grab one for my own sake. Thank you so much! thumbup.gif

Yea.. you're probably right.. clevo model is way cheaper and better IMO.. a lot oversea using clevo model also.. Illegear service is damn good and efficient rclxms.gif

But at least Asus is cheaper than MSI.. This Asus model probably at most cost 7k.. MSI 1 with same spec will cost 7.5k++

Yes bro I understand that the ASUS after sale service is suck. I do not expect much from its after sale service. I heard that its build quality is very good. Is that true? I did consider those you stated before, but the design, cooling itself is very important to me. I don't think it suit me.

I did considered to get a MSI GT72. After few months of consideration, I decided not to get it because of it's design of my main reason.
I have to agree that the features is great, after sales service is good, but it seems to be too pricey for me. I may save more money for future investment if i chosen G751.
I also did consider the MSI GS series. I do not feel good with its slim chassis. It got to be very hot during intense gaming.

After sale service is a very big issue here.. Please consider it seriously.. You can't guarantee your laptop won't fail in 1-3 years time right ? not even once..

It's very important especially for your case also.. you don't want to spend 6k+ but in the end can't claim for any warranty or ask for services right ? what for you spend the 6k ? sweat.gif

In my opinion you better review other laptop model first, like Illegear, Aftershock, Alienware or even Razer or Aorus.. Since you can afford a GTX980m laptop those other brand like Razer and Aorus is no problem for you smile.gif

Illegear has very good service and their laptop is based on clevo model.. Clevo model is quite popular in other country and is well known. Aftershock is also similar with Illegear but with a cheaper price tag.. Not sure about their service though.. These 2 brand laptop mostly will not have any heat issue, you can see their benchmark or ask them to do it for you.. check it up at their office in KL area..

Alienware got good built quality but spec is well-known to be outdated and OP-ed.
Razer and Aorus is slim and well-known to have no heat issue.. but price is also very OP.

Exactly, its after sale service is the only doubts for me.
I have done the review for all these brands before.
I'm personally can't accept the design of Illegear and Aftershock laptop. Since the design is extremely important to me.
For Aorus, I have tried the unit and viewed a lot of the reviews. Because of its SLI, it seems like having a very bad heat issue. It produces the most heat than other.
I'm currently using Alienware M14X. I love it's design and quality. I cant denied what you have said. I'm so disappointed with Alienware Malaysia. They still not able to renew its graphic to GTX900 series while MSI already did that long time ago.
For Razer, I completely have no ideas so i can't make any judgement. It's price tag definitely scare out of the freak of me. I'm actually not sure what will be the after sale service for Razer gaming notebook. Currently, I'm using Razer ouroboros, Razer Electra and Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2014. Past a few months, My Razer Ouroboros is malfunction suddenly, I have to send it to Singapore for RMA and it cost me RM70++ for shipping fee. I faint. rclxub.gif
Furthermore, there is an issue i found, please review this post from cari:
http://cforum1.cari.com.my/forum.php?mod=v...&extra=page%3D1

Btw, what do you think of ASUS Gaming laptop build quality if we don't talk about its after sale service?

What if the temperate it gets during intense gaming like Battlefield 4, Titanfall and Dragon Age?
My friends claim the temperature went to 80+ Celsius. I'm not sure about this. Seems like i have to give it a try during the coming PC fair in Midvalley.
