Has anyone tried this? Is it effective? How does it compare to a normal blade ceiling fan?

You won't get the ceiling fan wind. The word "breeze" already telling you that it only feel like fresh breeze air.

That system is more for air circulation, not for cooling.

Air circulator provide continuously rotating air in an enclosed room using WIND CHILL EFFECT. Wonder why on a cold night once we get a breeze we feel colder, moving air remove heat faster

exactly, air circulator provide continuously rotating air thus room feels cooler with AIR CON. air circulator NEEDS air con to provide cooler room

agree, fan also not not provide coolness to the room, only air con does that. on night wonder why even with fan running room still feels hot, due to heat trapped in the house. only air con provide reduce room temperature, air circulator rotates the air continuously providing WIND CHILL EFFECT

Air Circulator needs air con while fan does not. Air Con reduces room temperature while fan cannot.
