Hi all, having done a few years in photography I thought I would start to share some of my work here. I started with Olympus M42 system however after nearly a year of usage I changed to Canon 40D, 1D2N, 5D1 and currently 5D3.

Generally I do wildlife as my main now I am slowly getting back into landscape and even thinking of studio work. I will include as much as description as possible in every single images I posted here.

I created this thread for enjoyment and sharing my work and you can post anything in this thread from asking/bashing/thanking, etc... all welcome tongue.gif

Let's start with few selections....

1. This is a 3 shot panoramic (shot in landscape) and merged in CS6, curves here and there, some colour adjustment, sharpening, resize, sharpen again and save for web.

Canon EOS 5D Mark III
EF70-200mm f/4L IS USM
ƒ/8.0
70.0 mm

ISO 1250

Oh ya, that day you asked about birds right? Try the roads around Gua Tempurung or Kampar, Perak.. a lot of lakes there, and I've seen a lot of uncommon birds.. can try there, nice place, not much people, and not alot of trees too thumbup.gif

Oh ya, I might go into birding too someday (maybe 30 years later LOL XD), any recommendations on the lens sifu? Without having to sell my organs? notworthy.gif

70-200 plus teleconverters? What do you usually use to shoot bird bird?

Thanks in advance~

I only have EF 500mm so this will be my arsenal every time I go bird photography but sometimes with 1.4x ...

I will always ask this first, what is the budget? For a start, although I would recommend a fixed focal length lens however recently the release of Tamron 150-600mm and Sigma 150-600mm is really good so that will be a great starting point as it has a very high zoom range and could cater for your normal needs.

I will be working at UTAR Kampar later on too laugh.gif
There are a lot of abandoned mining lakes there, therefore alot of bird diversity, UTAR even took the trouble to set up Birdwatching guides around that area, worth checking out brows.gif
But then definitely need a lot very long lens to shoot la huhu

Lol scary tarantula, it is bigger than my palm but she is gentle beast... imagine being flashed so many times and remain still. Well we are using strobe with diffuser so uhm... probably the lighting is well controlled but I am not that good in flash photography yet tongue.gif
